1. A method of modifying an image to be displayed on a display that has viewing angle dependant image characteristics comprising:
- (a) receiving said image;
(b) determining the location of a viewer with respect to said display;
(c) modifying said image based upon said location in such a manner that at least one of the colors and white point the viewed by said viewer are on average shifted to word said at least one of the said colors and white point said viewer would observe at a normal viewing angle of said display.
