1. An artificial fishing lure comprising:
- an oval shaped cylindrical body section;
a plurality of semi-rigid rib members formed around the outer perimeter of the body section, the plurality of rib members being angled away from said tail section, the rib members flex when pulled against surfaces in a mouth of a fish to act as a barb to prevent the fishing lure from slipping out of a mouth of a fish; and
a tail section extending from an end of the body section, the tail section being split horizontally down the center of the tail section to allow each half of the tail section to separate and then come back together in a pinching motion when the fishing lure is pulled through the water.

Abstract
An artificial fishing lure has an oval shaped cylindrical body section. A plurality of rib members are formed around the outer perimeter of the body section. The plurality of rib members are for preventing the fishing lure from slipping out of a mouth of a fish. A tail section extends from an end of the body section. The tail section is split horizontally down the center of the tail section to allow each half of the tail section to separate and then come back together in a pinching motion when the fishing lure is pulled through the water.

a pair of side wing members wherein a single side wing member is coupled on each side of the body member, the side wing members moving in a flapping motion when the fishing lure is pulled through the water;
wherein the top and bottom surfaces of the body section have slight indentations which run the majority of the length of the body section from proximate front end section of the lure to proximate the point at which the tail section is coupled to the body section, the plurality of ribs members being formed on each half of the body section. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. An artificial fishing lure comprising:
-
an oval shaped cylindrical body section;

a pair of side wing members which are oval in shape. wherein a single side wing member is coupled on each side of the body member, the side wing members moving in a flapping motion when the fishing lure is pulled through the water; and
a plurality of light reflecting items embedded therein for reflecting light to attract the fish;
wherein the top and bottom surfaces of the body section have slight indentations which run the majority of the length of the body section from proximate front end section of the lure to proximate the point at which the tail section is coupled to the body section, the plurality of ribs members being formed on each half of the body section;
wherein the fishing lure is made from a soft rubber material which is resilient and flexible;
wherein the plurality of semi-rigid rib members are impregnated with salt, flexing of the semi-rigid ribs 14 causing salt to leak out of the semi-rigid ribs.
