1. A merchandising system, comprising:

  • (a) an automatic tracking device configured to identify an individual and to locate a data record associated with the individual in response to identifying the individual, the data record being updated according to real-time data associated with the identified individual according to data access permissions for the individual;

    (b) a content database configured to store multimedia content, the multimedia content being searchable according to metadata associated with the multimedia content;

    (c) a media server coupled with the content database and configured to query the database for desired multimedia content being identified in the content database based on identification of the individual and to communicate multimedia content in response to a request; and

    (d) a display communicatively coupled to the media content server and configured to present personalized multimedia content to the individual, being communicated to the display from the media server.
