Rotor for a turbomachine
First Claim
1. In combination:
- a rotor hub including a peripheral surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface, said rotor hub defining a plurality of cavities, each one of said cavities extending inwardly from said peripheral surface, said rotor hub defining a plurality of openings, each one of said openings extending from a corresponding one of said cavities to at least one of said first side surface and said second side surface; and
a rotor blade adapted to be coupled to said rotor hub, said rotor blade including an end portion adapted to fit in a particular one of said cavities and screwably securable to said rotor hub, a particular one of said openings extending from said particular one of said cavities being adapted to receive a constraint element engaging said end portion when said end portion is secured to said rotor hub.

Abstract
A rotor for a turbomachine. The rotor comprises a hub including a peripheral surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The hub defines a plurality of cavities, each one of the cavities extending inwardly from the peripheral surface. The hub also defines a plurality of openings, each one of the openings extending from a corresponding one of the cavities to at least one of the first side surface and the second side surface. The rotor further comprises a blade coupled to the hub. The blade includes an end portion fitting in a particular one of the cavities and screwably secured to the hub. A particular one of the openings extending from the particular one of the cavities is adapted to receive a constraint element engaging the end portion.
