1. A pump assembly used in connection with metering and dispensing fluid, said assembly comprising:
- a valve mechanism having an exterior projecting handle for controlling the flow of fluid; and
a valve actuating means having a rotatable lever arm, a pair of cams being mounted separately at opposite ends of said lever arm such that the pair of cams cooperate with said handle, wherein when said lever arm is rotated, the handle is moved to control the flow of fluid.

Abstract
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention there is provided a pump assembly used in connection with metering and dispensing fluid, the assembly includes a valve mechanism and a valve actuator. The valve mechanism includes an exterior projecting handle for controlling the flow of fluid and the valve actuator has a rotatable a lever arm and a pair of cams mounted separately at opposite ends of the lever arm such that the pair of cams cooperate with the handle, wherein when the lever arm is rotated, the handle is moved to control the flow of fluid.

a valve actuator capable of actuating said handle of said valve mechanism, the valve actuator includes an arm having two ends extending from an intermediate section, a pair of cams separately mounted to the ends, the intermediate section being pivotally connected to a pivotal shaft driven by a motor mechanism and the pair of cams positioned to cooperate with said handle when said arm is rotated about said pivotal shaft, whereby when said arm is rotated, the handle is moved to control the flow of fluid. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8)
