1. A system for locating radio frequency identification (RFID) devices within a telephone network, comprising:

  • a plurality of passive devices for sending separately identifiable radio frequency pulses in response to a radio frequency (RF) signal, each passive device including an electronic storage means carrying a stored code associated with each separate device of the plurality of passive devices;

    at least one transceiver means for sending an RF signal and reading any response from said passive devices; and

    a CPU and storage means, configured for communications with said transceiver means, for storing profiles associated with the separately identifiable radio frequency pulses.
