Abstract

A tandem rotary electric machine for vehicles is equipped with a primary rotary electric machine and a secondary rotary electric machine arranged in tandem mechanism, namely, of a dual stator-rotor pair mechanism. In the tandem rotary electric machine, a connection lead wire connects a stator coil wound on a stator core of the primary stator-rotor pair to a rectifier device through one of accommodation parts formed in slots of the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair. This structure reduces the entire size or volume of the tandem rotary electric machine and increases the mechanical safety against the impact or force from outside.

Claims

1. A tandem rotary electric machine comprising:

a primary stator-rotor pair and a secondary stator-rotor pair, each pair comprising a rotor core on which field windings being wound and a stator core on which stator coil being wound, each rotor core being fixed to and driven by a same rotary shaft, and adjacently arranged to each other; and

a rectifier device, configured to rectify independently output currents from both the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair, placed at the outside of the secondary stator-rotor pair in its axial direction and separated from the primary stator-rotor pair,

wherein the stator coil of the primary stator-rotor pair are connected to the rectifier device through a connection lead wire, and the connection lead wire is penetrated through an accommodation part formed in a slot in the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair.

2. The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through at least one of accommodation parts formed in the slots for the plural stator coil to which the stator coil is inserted.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 2, wherein the stator coil wound on the stator cores in both the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair are sequential segment joining type stator coil, and each of which is inserted in the corresponding slot in the stator core in one direction and adjacent front terminals of the adjacent sequential segment joining type stator coils are electrically connected by welding in order to form the stator coil.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the slot in the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair, and one end of the connection lead wire is electrically connected to one end of a lead wire penetrated through a slot of the stator core of the primary stator-rotor pair and connected to one end of the stator coil of the primary stator-rotor pair.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 2, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the slot in the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair, and one end of the connection lead wire is electrically connected to one end of a lead wire penetrated through a slot of the stator core of the primary stator-rotor pair and connected to one end of the stator coil of the primary stator-rotor pair.

6. The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the slot for a same phase of the stator coil wound on the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair.

7. The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 2, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the slot for a same phase of the stator coil wound on the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, further comprising a controller configured to independently control exciting currents flowing through the field windings of the rotor cores in the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair, wherein the rotor cores of both the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair are driven by an engine mounted on a vehicle.

9. The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the rectifier device comprises:

a primary rectifier configured to rectifying electric power generated by the stator coil in the primary stator-rotor pair; and

a secondary rectifier configured to rectifying electric power generated by the stator coil in the secondary stator-rotor pair,

wherein a direct current high voltage terminal of the primary rectifier is electrically connected to a direct current low voltage terminal of the secondary rectifier.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 1, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the accommodation part formed in the slot in the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair so that a direction of current flowing through the connection lead wire is the same direction of current flowing through the stator coil penetrated in accommodation parts formed in the same slot for the connection lead wire.

11. A tandem rotary electric machine comprising:

a primary stator-rotor pair and a secondary stator-rotor pair, each pair comprising a rotor core on which field windings being wound and a stator core on which stator coil being wound, each rotor core being fixed to and driven by a same rotary shaft, and adjacently arranged to each other;

a rectifier device, configured to rectify independently output currents from both the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair, placed at the outside of the secondary stator-rotor pair in its axial direction and separated from the primary stator-rotor pair;

a slip ring power supply mechanism configured to supply electric power to both the field windings of the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair; and

a controller having field current control elements, fixed to both the rotor cores, configured to independently control exciting currents flowing through the field windings of the rotor cores of the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 11, wherein the stator coil of the primary stator-rotor pair is connected to the rectifier device through a connection lead wire by which the stator coil of the primary stator-rotor pair is electrically connected to the rectifier device, and the connection lead wire is penetrated through an accommodation part formed in a slot in the stator core of the secondary stator-rotor pair, and the rotor cores of both the primary stator-rotor pair and the secondary stator-rotor pair are driven by an engine mounted on a vehicle.

13. The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 11, wherein the rectifier device comprises:

a primary rectifier configured to rectifying electric power generated by the stator coil in the primary stator-rotor pair; and

a secondary rectifier configured to rectifying electric power generated by the stator coil in the secondary stator-rotor pair, wherein a direct current high voltage terminal of the primary rectifier is electrically connected to a direct current low voltage terminal of the secondary rectifier.

The tandem rotary electric machine according to claim 11, wherein the connection lead wire is penetrated through the accommodation part formed in the slot in the stator of the secondary stator-rotor pair so that a direction of current flowing through the connection lead wire is the same direction of current flowing through the stator coil penetrated in accommodation parts formed in the same slot for the connection lead wire.
