Abstract

An apparatus and method for sharing a bus in a mobile telecommunication handset are provided. The handset includes a controller enabling a plurality of devices to share a clock and controlling input of data to and output of data from the plurality of devices using the shared clock.

Claims

1. A mobile telecommunication handset comprising:

a controller enabling a plurality of devices to share a clock and controlling input of data to and output of data from the plurality of devices using the shared clock.

2. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of devices are input/output devices provided in the mobile telecommunication handset.

3. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the number of the plurality of devices is 2 or more.

4. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the controller controls inputting of the data to and outputting of the data from the plurality of devices through the use of a channel in which a clock frequency is synchronized.

5. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 4, wherein the channel comprises a single bus assigned to the plurality of devices provided in the mobile telecommunication handset.

6. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the controller comprises a module for determining to which of the devices the data is to be input and from which of the devices the data is to be output.

7. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, further comprising:

a memory storing a reference clock for inputting and outputting the data using the shared clock.

8. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the controller generates the clock to input the data to and to output the data from the plurality of devices over a shared channel, and transmits and receives the data using the generated clock.

9. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the controller creates a high impedance section to reduce interference between the data input to and the data output from the plurality of devices.

10. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of devices comprise a display for displaying the data, and a camera.

11. The mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 1, wherein the controller generates a guard clock to separate data from each of the plurality of devices.

12. A mobile communication terminal comprising:

a plurality of input/output devices;

a controller to control the input/output devices; and

a single shared bus over which data to and from each of the input/output devices is communicated with the controller.

13. The mobile communication terminal according to claim 12, wherein the controller generates a guard clock to separate the data from each of the input/output devices, in the shared bus.

14. The mobile communication terminal according to claim 13, wherein the controller generates a reference clock for transmitting the data to and from each of the input/output devices.

15. The mobile communication terminal according to claim 14, wherein a frequency of the guard clock is about half of a frequency of the reference clock.

16. A method for sharing a bus in a mobile telecommunication handset, comprising:

synchronizing clocks of devices to transmit and receive input data and output data for the devices; and

controlling input and output of the data through the use of the synchronized clocks.

17. The method for sharing a bus in the mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 16, wherein the controlling step comprises determining to which of the devices the data is to be input and from which of the devices the data is to be output.

18. The method for sharing a bus in the mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 16, wherein the controlling step further comprises generating a clock to input the data to and output the data from the plurality of devices over a shared channel.

19. The method for sharing a bus in the mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 18, wherein the shared channel synchronizes a clock frequency to transmit and receive the data.

20. The method for sharing a bus in the mobile telecommunication handset according to claim 18, wherein the shard channel comprises a bus assigned to the devices provided in the mobile telecommunication handset.
