Abstract

Processors for processing, modulating, transmitting and receiving spread spectrum, CDMA, CSMA, OFDM, TDM, TDMA, filtered and cross-correlated signals. A first processor and filter for processing and filtering spread spectrum signals and a second processor for processing and filtering Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) or Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signals or for processing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) signals or a second processor for processing and shaping cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals and a selector for selecting and connecting either the first processor or the second processor processed signals to signal modulator and or transmitter. A first signal transmitter, for signal transmission in first Radio Frequency (RF) band and a second signal transmitter for signal transmission in second RF band of the processed signals.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a first processor and filter for processing and filtering spread spectrum signals and for providing spread spectrum processed and filtered signals;

a second processor for processing and filtering Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) or Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signals and for providing TDM or TDMA processed and filtered signals; and

a selector for selecting and connecting either the processed and filtered spread spectrum signal or the processed and filtered TDM or TDMA signal to a modulator system;

a modulator system comprising one or more modulators for modulation of the selected signal for signal modulation and for connection of the modulated signal to a signal transmitter for signal transmission.

2. The system as in claim 1 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) signals.

3. The system as in claim 1 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Collision Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) signals.

4. The system as in claim 1 wherein the filtered Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signals are used in Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) systems.

5. The system as in claim 1 wherein the signal transmitter comprises two amplifiers, the first amplifier operated in a linearly amplified mode for transmission of the selected spread spectrum signals and the second amplifier operated in non-linearly amplified mode for transmission of the selected TDM or TDMA signals.

6. The system as in claim 1 wherein the Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) or the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signals are used in Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) or in Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (OQPSK) OQPSK modulated systems.

7. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing spread spectrum signals;

a second processor for processing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) signals;

a selector and connection circuit for selecting and providing either the processed spread spectrum signal or the processed OFDM signal or both the processed spread spectrum signal and the processed OFDM signal to a signal transmitter.

8. The system as in claim 7 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) signals.

9. The system as in claim 7 wherein the signal transmitter for transmission of the selected spread spectrum signal is in a different Radio Frequency (RF) band than is the RF band for transmission of the selected OFDM signal.

10. The system as in claim 7 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Collision Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) signals.

11. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing spread spectrum baseband signals and for providing processed spread spectrum baseband signals;

a second processor for processing and shaping cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals and for providing processed shaped cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals;

a selector and connection circuit for selecting and providing either the processed spread spectrum baseband signals or the shaped cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals processed signals or both the processed spread spectrum signal and the processed cross-correlated signals to a signal modulator system.

12. The system as in claim 11 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Collision Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) signals.

13. The system as in claim 11 wherein the cross-correlated signals are comprised of Gaussian filtered and or Gaussian shaped signals.

14. The system as in claim 11 wherein the cross-correlated signals are . . .

15. The system as in claim 11 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) signals.

16. A system comprising:

a first processor for receiving a first bit rate spread spectrum signal and processing said spread spectrum signal;

a second processor for receiving and processing a second bit rate signal and a filter for filtering the processed second bit rate signal;

a selector and connection circuit for selecting and providing the processed spread spectrum signals to a first signal transmitter, for signal transmission in first Radio Frequency (RF) band and the processed and filtered signal to a second signal transmitter for signal transmission in second RF band.

17. The system as in claim 16 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) signals.

18. The system as in claim 16 wherein the spread spectrum signals are comprised of Collision Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) signals.

19. The system as in claim 16 wherein the processed and filtered signals are used in Gaussian shaped and or in Gaussian filtered systems.

20. The system as in claim 16 wherein the first signal transmitter comprises a linearly amplified transmitter and the second signal transmitter comprises a non-linearly-amplified transmitter.
