Abstract

Improved capabilities for positioning content on a mobile communication facility, based in part on the likelihood of interaction with the content, are disclosed for mobile communications facilities, such as cell phones. These and other capabilities are employed to improve the likelihood of user interaction with content presented to a mobile communication facility, such as positioning content to appropriate or desirable mobile communication facilities.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

assessing a likelihood of an interaction with sponsored content, wherein the sponsored content is to be presented to a mobile communication facility; and

positioning the content for placement on the mobile communication facility based at least in part on the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction is at least in part based on a past performance related to the mobile communication facility.

3. The method of claim 2 wherein the past performance is a past content interaction.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction is at least in part based on user characteristic associated with the mobile communication facility.

12. The method of claim 11 wherein the user characteristic is related to user history information.

13. The method of claim 11 wherein the user characteristic is related to a user demographic.

14. The method of claim 11 wherein the user characteristic is related to user transaction history information.

15. The method of claim 11 wherein the user characteristic is related to a user'"'"'s present location information.

17. The method of claim 11 wherein the user characteristic is related to a personal filter.

18. The method of claim 1 wherein the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction is at least in part based on a capability of the mobile communication facility.

23. The method of claim 1 wherein the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction is at least in part based on a mobile subscriber characteristic.

24. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to a user transaction history.

25. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to user location.

26. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to personal information relating to a user.

27. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to a user web interactions.

38. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to a user transaction.

39. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is related to a user previous search queries entered.

46. The method of claim 23 wherein the mobile subscriber characteristic is a user demographic.

65. The method of claim 1 wherein the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction is at least in part based on a mobile service provider characteristic.

161. The method of claim 1 wherein the mobile communication facility is a phone.

81. A system, comprising:

an assessor adapted to assess a likelihood of an interaction with sponsored content, wherein the sponsored content is to be presented to a mobile communication facility; and

a positioning facility adapted to position the content for placement on the mobile communication facility based at least in part on the assessment of the likelihood of the interaction.
