Abstract

A mobile communication terminal includes a display unit comprising a plurality of displays, one of which being formed as a touch panel, and a controller for analyzing a signal inputted through the touch panel to determine whether movement distance of data satisfies pre-set conditions, and outputting a control signal for displaying the corresponding data through a different display region according to the corresponding result.

Claims

1. A mobile communication apparatus, comprising:

a transceiver to transmit and receive data;

a memory to store the data from the transceiver or from an external source;

a body with a first display unit and a second display unit, wherein at least one of the first and second display units allows touch sensitive inputting;

a display processor to display a first graphical element on the first display unit that allows touch sensitive inputting;

an input detector to detect a type of input received via the touch sensitive inputting;

a graphical processor to process the first graphical element according to the detected type of input; and

the display processor to display a second graphical element on the second display unit according to the processing.

2. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the body comprises more than two display units.

3. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 2, wherein the body can be opened such that two or more display units are visible, and closed such that only one or no display unit is visible.

4. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 2, wherein the body can be unfolded such that two or more display units are visible to a user or folded such that neither display unit is visible to the user.

5. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is a still-image obtained via an image capturing device that is attached with the body.

6. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is obtained from video data stored in the memory previously or from streaming data transmitted from the external source.

7. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is a non-manipulated original image and the second graphical element is a manipulated version of the original image.

8. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is displayed in thumbnail image format.

9. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 8, wherein a total number of the thumbnail images allowed to be displayed is based on certain conditions.

10. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 8, wherein a size of the thumbnail images allowed to be displayed is based on certain conditions.

11. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 9, wherein the certain conditions are determined by a display capability of the mobile communication device.

12. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 11, wherein the display capability of the mobile communication device is based upon at least one of its display attributes, memory size, processor power, and battery power.

13. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is displayed in the form of a graphical icon, a menu, a folder and/or a file.

14. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 13, wherein the second graphical element is a manipulated version of the original image that corresponding to a specified graphical icon, folder, menu, and/or file.

15. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is determined based on an input position and an input change specified through a touch operation of an input means on the first display unit.

16. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 15, wherein the input means comprises at least user'"'"'s finger, pen, and stylus.

17. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 16, wherein the stylus comprises buttons to allow image manipulation of the first graphical element.

18. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 16, wherein the body comprises buttons that are pressed when operating the stylus to allow image manipulation of the first graphical element.

19. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is dragged further than a certain range within a display boundary of the first display unit.

20. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is touched with a pressure that exceeds a certain value.

21. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is touched and held for more than a certain time period.

22. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is dragged with a moving velocity that exceeds a certain value.

23. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is tapped a certain number of times.

24. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the type of input is sensed when the first graphical element is dragged in a certain direction.

25. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first graphical element is processed with at least one of a copy function, a move function, a delete function, and an execute function.

26. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first and second graphical elements are used in a video game.

27. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 26, wherein the second element is a game icon that moves in a game space corresponding to a dragging direction and a moving velocity of the first graphical element during the touch sensitive inputting.

28. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 27, wherein the movement of game icon is automatically paused if the video game is interrupted by data received via the transceiver.

29. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 28, wherein the data comprises at least one of a short message service (SMS), and a multimedia message service (MMS), a graphic message, and a voice message.

30. A method of displaying graphical objects for a wireless communication apparatus having multiple touch-screens, the method comprising:

displaying the graphical objects on a source touch-screen;

receiving a user selection of a specific graphical object among the graphical objects shown on the source touch-screen;

determining how a touch input is performed on the source touch-screen;

processing the specific graphical object according to the determined touch input; and

displaying processed graphical object on a target touch-screen corresponding to the processing.

31. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input is performed by dragging the specified graphical object further than a certain range within a display boundary of the source touch-screen.

32. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input is performed by touching the specified graphical object with a pressure that exceeds a certain value.

33. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input is performed by touching is and maintaining contact with the specified graphical object for more than a certain time period.

34. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input,is performed by dragging the specified graphical object with a moving velocity that exceeds a certain value.

35. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input is performed by tapping the specified graphical object a certain number of times.

36. The method of claim 30, wherein the touch input is performed by dragging the specified graphical object in a certain direction.

37. The method of claim 36, wherein the target touch-screen is designated by the dragging direction.

38. The method of claim 37, wherein the specified graphical object is processed with at least one of a copy function, a move function, a delete function, and an execute function.

39. A wireless communication device, comprising

a transceiver to transmit and receive data;

a memory to store the data from the transceiver or from an external source;

a body having a first display screen and a second display screen, wherein at least one of the first and second display screens allows touch sensitive inputting; and

a processor cooperating with the transceiver, the memory, and the display screens to perform the steps of,

displaying an original image on the first display screen that allows touch sensitive inputting;

detecting an initial input position and an end input position that are specified through a touch operation of an input means on the first display screen, wherein the initial input position and the end input position are determined by dragging the original image on the first display screen;

processing the original image with respect to a relationship between the initial input position and the end input position, wherein the relationship is determined by at least one of a moving distance from the initial input position to the end input position and a moving velocity by calculating the moving distance divided by a time taken in the inputting means and

displaying a manipulated image on the second display screen according to the processing.

40. A wireless communication device comprising

a transceiver to transmit and receive data;

a memory to store the data from the transceiver or from an external source;

a body having a first display screen and a second display screen, wherein at least one of the first and second display screens allows touch sensitive inputting; and

a processor cooperating with the transceiver, the memory, and the display screens to perform the steps of,

displaying an original image on the first display screen that allows touch sensitive inputting;

detecting a physical contact through an input means on the first display screen, wherein a contact parameter is determined based on at least one of a holding time, a number of tapping, and a touching pressure value for contacting the original image displayed on the first display screen;

processing the original image with respect to the contact parameter; and

displaying a manipulated image on the second display screen according to the processing.

41. A method of controlling graphical objects in a mobile communication apparatus having multiple touch-screens, the method comprising:

displaying the graphical objects on a source touch-screen;

selecting a specific graphical object, which is to be moved to a target touch-screen, among the graphical objects are displayed in the source touch-screen;

dragging the specific graphical object in a certain direction, wherein the target touch-screen is designated in a relation with a direction of dragging;

calculating a dragging distance by an input means via a touch operation on the source touch-screen; and

displaying the specific graphical object on the target touch-screen with a certain motion based on the calculating.

42. The method of claim 41, wherein the specific graphical object is displayed in the form of at least one of a graphical icon, a menu, a folder and a file.

43. A mobile communication apparatus comprising:

a transceiver module to transmit and receive data;

a storage module to store the data from the transceiver or from an external source;

a body with a first display unit and a second display unit, wherein at least one of the first and second display units allows touch sensitive inputting;

a display processor to display a first graphical element on the first display unit that allows touch sensitive inputting;

a stylus to input a signal via a touch operation on the first display unit, wherein the stylus having one or more function buttons for processing the first graphical element;

an input detector to detect a type of the inputted signal and to determine whether the function buttons are in an active state;

a graphical processor to process the first graphical element based on the detected type of inputted signal and the operation of the function buttons; and

the display processor to display a second graphical element on the second display unit according to the processing.

44. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 43, wherein the function buttons is to perform at least one of a copy function, a move function, a delete function, and an execute function.

45. The mobile communication apparatus of claim 43, wherein the stylus is operated wirelessly.
