Abstract

A method of crossfading a plurality of audio files comprising opening a first process, opening a second process hosting an audio renderer in which a first audio file of the plurality of audio files is cross faded with a second audio file of the plurality of audio files.

Claims

1. A method of crossfading a plurality of audio files comprising:

opening a first process;

opening a second process hosting an audio renderer in which a first audio file of the plurality of audio files is cross faded with a second audio file of the plurality of audio files.

2. The method of claim 1 in which the second process is a protected process.

3. The method of claim 2 in which the first process is an unprotected process.

4. The method of claim 1 in which the first process is includes a media pipeline.

5. The method of claim 4 in which the media pipeline includes a first source coupled to a decoder.

6. The method of claim 1 in which the second process includes a media pipeline.

7. The method of claim 6 in which the second process includes a media pipeline includes a second source coupled to a cross fade effect and a sink.

8. The method of claim 7 in which the first process is coupled to the sink.

9. The method of claim 8 in which the sink is buffered.

10. A system for cross fading comprising:

a first process in which a first source is coupled to a first buffered crossfade, which is coupled to a first sink; and

a second process in which a second source is coupled to a second buffered crossfade, which is coupled to a second sink.

11. The system for crossfading of claim 10 in which the second process is opened in a protected environment.

12. The system for crossfading of claim 10 in which the first process is opened in a unprotected environment.

13. A system for cross fading comprising;

a first process including a first media file coupled to a first source, which in turn is coupled to a decoder; and

a second secure process in which a second media file is coupled to a second source, which is in turn coupled to a cross fade effect, and then a sink, in which the sink is coupled to the decoder, and the cross fade is coupled to the first source.

14. The system for cross fading of claim 13 in which an output of the decoder is buffered.
