Abstract

In embodiments of the present invention, improved capabilities are described for optimizing yield based at least in part on presenting mobile content, such as sponsored advertisements, sponsored content, or sponsored call numbers, to a mobile communication facility from a plurality of content inventories. Content selection from the plurality of inventories may be based on factors associated with a user, a mobile communication facility, a location, the advertisement/content/number, revenue (e.g. impression and clickthrough bids), payment terms, and the like. Additionally, mobile content may be available from a plurality of sources with individual revenue models that may affect optimization. By assessing the various factors and mobile content sources while maintaining at least a partial relevance to a mobile search query, optimal sponsored content may be determined, received from an inventory of mobile content, and presented to a mobile communication facility.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

searching a plurality of mobile content inventories in which a relevant mobile content is stored to determine a favorable mobile content for presentation to a mobile communication facility; and

presenting the favorable mobile content to the mobile communication facility.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises receiving a request for mobile content from the mobile communication facility prior to searching the plurality of mobile content inventories.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises determining a relevant mobile content based at least in part on a request.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the relevant mobile content is a plurality of mobile content type.

21. The method of claim 1, wherein the relevant mobile content is based at least in part on mobile content type.

22. The method of claim 1, wherein the relevant mobile content is based at least in part on information relating to a mobile communication facility.

23. The method of claim 22, wherein the information relating to a mobile communication facility is a user characteristic.

30. The method of claim 22, wherein the information relating to a mobile communication facility is a mobile communication facility characteristic.

34. The method of claim 22, wherein the information relating to a mobile communication facility is provided by a telecommunications service provider.

36. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of mobile content inventories comprises at least one preferred partner inventory.

37. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of mobile content inventories comprises at least one third party controlled inventory.

38. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of mobile content inventories includes advertising content.

39. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of mobile content inventories includes a remote database.

40. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is presented in association with a wireless carrier portal.

41. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is presented in association with a wireless carrier storefront.

42. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is presented in association with an off-deck mobile website.

43. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is determined at least in part by mobile content type.

44. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is determined at least in part by its storage in a preferred partner inventory.

45. The method of claim 1, wherein the favorable mobile content is determined at least in part on an expected value.

a search facility adapted to search a plurality of mobile content inventories in which a relevant mobile content is stored to determine a favorable mobile content for presentation to a mobile communication facility; and

a presentation facility adapted to present the favorable mobile content to the mobile communication facility.
