Abstract

Wireless personal area network (Zigbee, Bluetooth, UWB) and wireless identification technologies (Near Field Communication (NFC), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)) are implemented in particular client server functions and communications. Connected with an Authentication Server, a wireless HUB authenticates user identification and provides the user with access to secure data communication with a wireless terminal such as a cellular phone or a PDA. A Location Server provides user locations via methods such as RSSI, TDOA, and GPS and sends location information to a Center Control Server and the Authentication Server. With location information, the Center Control Server initiates and optimizes secure information processes and coordinates the functions of servers and user terminals.

Claims

1. A method for facilitating electronic communication of secure information, the method comprising:

receiving a unique identifier corresponding to a client process;

recognizing the unique identifier and establishing a secure communication channel with the client process based on the recognition of the unique identifier;

receiving information from the client process, through the secure communication channel, wherein the information is related to an item transaction or a financial transaction; and

providing information pertaining to the transaction in real time.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving location information of the client process, wherein the location information is provided by one or more of GPS/AGPS, Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI), information sent from a client process, or cellular tower.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving location information, wherein the location information is used for security management or for initiation of the transaction.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the unique identifier is through a a short range electromagnetic (EM) radiation, wherein the short range Electromagnetic radiation communication channel is separate from the secure communication channel established upon the recognition of the unique identifier;

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the short range communication channel is NFC and the unique identifier is an RFID Tag.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the secure communications channel is one of a Bluetooth, a UWB, a WWAN, a cellular network, a wired network, and a WLAN communication.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the receiving and recognizing of the unique identifier is performed by a wireless hub, and wherein the wireless hub provides a user application for exchanging additional information with the user upon the recognition of the unique identifier of the user.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the wireless hub is housed within one of a kiosk and a set top box.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the wireless hub separately collects utility information.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the unique identifier is associated with a financial account information and the financial transaction includes one or more of the following:

money withdrawn from the financial account;

money deposited into the financial account; and

money transferred to or from the financial account.

11. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the information related to the financial transaction indicates a payment for fulfilling the item transaction, wherein the payment is made by:

transferring a value, for the payment of the transaction item, from an account of a first transaction party requesting the item, to a first account of a system provider; and

transferring the value from a second account of the system provider, to an account of a second transaction party supplying the item;

wherein the first and second transaction parties are involved with fulfilling the item transaction; and

wherein the first and second accounts of the system provider are in different nation states.

12. The method as set forth in claim 11, wherein:

the transferring of the value from the second account of the system provider to the account of the item supply party is made either upon a request from the item supply party or is made periodically, and

the value is the accumulated payments of more than one item transactions.

13. The method of claim 1, wherein information pertaining to the transaction includes one or more of the following:

a. a rate for calculating the user'"'"'s reward such as a system credit circulating among the transaction parties for trading goods or services, wherein the rate increases with acceleration based on the accumulation or frequency of a user'"'"'s participation in the transactions processed by the system;

b. a group formation message suggesting a group formation event for one or more item transaction and suggesting a group size;

c. a group inclusion request message pertaining to the group formation event;

d. requirements about the group formation such as a time limit of the group formation or the quantity of the items requested by joining party;

e. a transaction message indicating one or more items requested;

f. a transaction message indicating a suggested supply transaction related to the item requested;

g. status or modification of one or more of the transaction message and group formation information; and

h. acceptance of the suggested supply transaction or confirmation of the transaction.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the group size alters based on the information pertaining to the item transaction, including one of a real time status of the group and the suggested supply transaction;

15. The method of claim 1, wherein the client process is an implement terminal of a transaction party, wherein the terminal is one or more of:

a computer;

a server/computer system;

a wireless device;

a PDA; and

a cellular telephony device.

16. The method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising providing one of real-time communication among transaction parties and online status of the transaction parties, wherein the real-time communication includes a user application for generating modification on the transaction information.

17. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the information pertaining to the transactions is conveyed by an alert message to the client process.

18. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the item transaction is associated with one or more item request parties and item supply parties, wherein one item supply party is an exclusive item supply party, and the supply transaction information from the exclusive item supply party is not provided to the others of the item supply parties.

19. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the information pertaining to the transaction is selected and only provided to one or more selected item supply parties meeting a criterion at the same time or at different time.

20. The method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising receiving an immediate transaction indication with respect to the one or more items requested, wherein:

the immediate transaction indicates a threshold acceptance value; and

when one of the suggested supply transaction meets the threshold acceptance value, the suggested supply transaction is immediately accepted at the threshold acceptance value.

21. The method as set forth in claim 20, wherein:

the immediate transaction indication is provided together with a value reservation indicator indicating a reserved value; and

the acceptance of the suggested supply transaction is followed by the transfer of the reserved value to the corresponding item supply party.

22. The method as set forth in claim 13, further comprising receiving information of an item transaction method, wherein the item transaction method applies one or more of the following:

specific credit circulated among the transaction parties of the system;

a currency; and

an exchange of goods or services between any two or more transaction parties.

23. The method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising providing an intelligent recommendation module, the module being adapted to provide item transaction related information including one or more of the following:

location information of a user;

credibility rating of a transaction party;

product information and analysis including one or more of historical price, features, quality, accessories;

market and competition information and analysis including one or more of current price competition; and

information relating to communication among transaction parties such as online status.

24. The method as set forth in claim 23, wherein the information of location of a transaction party is used in the group formation wherein the group transaction is provided with bulk price for more than one item sold.

25. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the item transaction is associated with the item request group comprising a plurality of individuals requesting one or more item.

26. A system for facilitating electronic communication of secure information, the system comprising:

means for receiving a unique identifier corresponding to a client process;

means for recognizing the unique identifier and establishing a secure communication channel with the client process based on the recognition of the unique identifier;

means for receiving information from the client process, through the secure communication channel, wherein the information is related to an item transaction or an financial transaction; and

means for providing information pertaining to the transaction real time.

27. The system of claim 26, further comprising means for receiving location information, wherein the location information is used for security management or for initiation of the transaction.

28. The system of claim 26, wherein the receiving the unique identifier is through a short range Electromagnetic (EM) radiation, wherein the short range EM radiation communication channel is separate from the secure communication channel established upon the recognition of the unique identifier.

29. The system of claim 28, wherein the short range communication channel is NFC and the unique identifier is an RFID Tag.

30. The system of claim 26, wherein the secure communications channel is one of a Bluetooth, a UWB, a WWAN, cellular or wired network, and a WLAN communication.

32. The system of claim 31, wherein the wireless hub separately collects utility information.

33. The system of claim 26, wherein the unique identifier is associated with a financial account information and the financial transaction includes one or more of the following:

money transferred to or from the financial account.

34. The system as set forth in claim 26, wherein the information related to the financial transaction indicates a payment for fulfilling the item transaction, wherein the payment is made by:

transferring a value, for the payment of the transaction item, from an account of a first transaction party requesting the item, i.e. item request party, to a first account of a system provider; and

transferring the value from a second account of the system provider, to an account of a second transaction party supplying the item;

wherein the first and second transaction parties are involved with fulfilling the item transaction; and

wherein the first and second accounts of the system provider are in different nation states.

The system as set forth in claim 34, wherein the transferring the value from the second account of the system provider to the account of the item supply party is made either upon a request from the item supply party or is made periodically, wherein the value is the accumulated payments of more than one item transactions.

36. The system of claim 26, wherein information pertaining to the transaction includes one or more of the following:

a. a rate for calculating the user'"'"'s reward such as a system credit circulating among the transaction parties for trading goods or services, wherein the rate increases with acceleration based on the accumulation or frequency of a user'"'"'s participation in the transactions processed by the system;

b. a group formation message suggesting a group formation event for one or more item transaction and suggesting a group size;

37. The system of claim 26, wherein the client process is an implement terminal of a transaction party, wherein the terminal is one or more of:

a computer;

a server/computer system;

a wireless device;

a PDA; and

a cellular telephony device.

38. The system as set forth in claim 26, further comprising providing real-time communication among transaction parties and/or online status of the transaction parties, wherein the real-time communication includes a user application for generating modification on the transaction information.

39. The system as set forth in claim 26, further comprising means for providing an intelligent recommendation module, the module being adapted to provide item transaction related information including one or more of the following:

location information of a user;

credibility rating of a transaction party;

product information and analysis including one or more of historical price, features, quality, accessories;

market and competition information and analysis; and

information relating to communication among transaction parties.

40. The system as set forth in claim 26, wherein the item transaction is associated with the item request group comprising a plurality of individuals requesting one or more item.

41. A terminal device, intended for use in a system for improving electronic communications, comprising:

a communications module, a user interface module, a storage module, and a control module;

wherein the control module provides a control function for the communications, user interface, and storage modules;

wherein the storage module stores a client application; and

wherein the client application enables the control module with the user interface module to perform the operations of;

providing an identifier of the terminal device,

receiving information related to an item or a financial transaction via the user interface module;

storing the information related to a transaction in the storage module;

outputting information pertaining to the transaction; and

retrieving the information related to a transaction.

42. The terminal device, as set forth in claim 41, wherein the operations further comprise:

responding to a received message related to the transaction by automatically displaying a user activatable area that responds to a user activation for modifying the information pertaining to the transaction; and

outputting the modified message to the communications module;

wherein the modification includes one or more of;

the transaction identification indicator; and

a modification field identifying one or more of;

a modified description of the item requested;

a modified time for the time requested;

a threshold acceptance value for the requested item;

a modified group formation information;

a modified group transaction information;

a modified group inclusion requirement;

a modified item supply transaction; and

a modified item transaction method.

43. The terminal device, as set forth in claim 41, wherein the user interface module and the control module are adapted to provide the location of a user, wherein the location information is used in one or more of:

security management;

initiation of a transaction; and

formation of a transaction group.

The terminal device, as set forth in claim 41, wherein the user interface module and the control module are adapted to provide real-time communication among any two or more of the transaction parties, wherein the real-time communication includes a client application for generating modification on the message related with the transaction.

45. The terminal device of claim 41, wherein the unique identifier is associated with a financial account information and the user interface module and the control module are adapted to request financial transaction including one or more of withdrawing money from the financial account;

depositing money into the financial account; and

transferring money to or from the financial account.
