Abstract

A method according to some embodiments of the present invention provides for a game server to receive policy requirements of a user for a gambling loss insurance policy from a terminal. The game server determines a premium amount based on the policy requirements of the user and transmits information concerning the premium amount to the user.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving at a table game a player identifier that identifiers the player;

receiving confirmation to purchase a gambling insurance policy, the confirmation received from the player;

determining an insurance premium cost associated with the gambling insurance policy; and

receiving payment for the insurance premium cost.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the confirmation is distinct from the payment.

3. The method of claim 1 further comprising determining an amount of loss generated by the player during game play.

4. The method of claim 3 further comprising determining a refund amount based on the amount of loss and the gambling insurance policy.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the table game is a blackjack table.

6. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a refund to the player away from the table game.
