Abstract

Meta data accompanying a content broadcast includes an identifier of a group of peers on a P2P network. The group provides or shares a service to enable peers to connect and interact via the P2P network within the context of the broadcast.

Claims

1. A method of enabling to identify a group of peers on a P2P network, the method comprising enabling to use an identifier associated with a content broadcast for identifying the group.

2. The method of claim 1, comprising providing the identifier via the broadcast.

3. The method of claim 1, comprising providing the identifier via an EPG.

4. The method of claim 1, comprising enabling to obtain the identifier from a further identifier representative of the content broadcast.

5. The method of claim 4, comprising providing the further identifier via the broadcast.

6. The method of claim 4, comprising providing the further identifier via an EPG.

7. The method of claim 4, wherein the further identifier comprises a TV-Anytime CRID.

8. A method of identifying a group of peers on a P2P network, the method comprising using an identifier associated with a content broadcast for identifying the group.

9. The method of claim 8, comprising deriving the identifier via the broadcast.

10. The method of claim 8, comprising deriving the identifier via an EPG.

11. The method of claim 8, comprising enabling to obtain the identifier from a further identifier representative of the content broadcast.

12. The method of claim 11, comprising receiving the further identifier via the broadcast.

13. The method of claim 11, comprising receiving the further identifier via an EPG.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the further identifier comprises a TV-Anytime CRID.

15. An apparatus configured for use on a P2P network and operative to process an identifier associated with content broadcast to enable to identify a group of peers on a P2P network.

16. The apparatus of claim 15, operative to receive the identifier via the broadcast.

17. The apparatus of claim 15, operative to receive the identifier via an EPG listing the broadcast.

18. The apparatus of claim 15, operative to process a further identifier representative of the broadcast so as to enable to obtain the identifier of the group of peers.

19. Control software for configuring a data network apparatus to process an identifier associated with content broadcast for identifying a group of peers on the data network.

20. The control software of claim 19 operative to process a further identifier representative of the broadcast so as to enable to obtain the identifier of the group of peers.

21. A broadcast program comprising an identifier for enabling to identify a group of peers on a P2P network.
