Abstract

A personal lifestyle device (PLD) includes a communication module, a memory device, and a control module. The communication module communicates with a wireless network. The memory device stores authentication information that authorizes communication between the PLD and at least one of the wireless network and a lifestyle service provider, and a profile comprising a lifestyle service ordered from the lifestyle service provider using the PLD. The control module communicates with the communication module and the memory device, automatically establishes communication between the PLD and at least one of the wireless network and the lifestyle service provider using the authentication information, automatically receives a unicast for the lifestyle service from the lifestyle service provider, wherein the unicast is selectively based on the profile, and selectively transmits an order for the lifestyle service to the lifestyle service provider.

Claims

1. A personal lifestyle device (PLD), comprising:

a communication module that communicates with a wireless network;

a memory device that stores authentication information that authorizes communication between said PLD and at least one of said wireless network and a lifestyle service provider, and a profile comprising a lifestyle service ordered from said lifestyle service provider using said PLD; and

a control module that communicates with said communication module and said memory device, that automatically establishes communication between said PLD and at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider using said authentication information, that automatically receives a unicast for said lifestyle service from said lifestyle service provider, wherein said unicast is selectively based on said profile, and that selectively transmits an order for said lifestyle service to said lifestyle service provider.

2. The PLD of claim 1 wherein said communication module communicates with a plurality of wireless networks and a plurality of lifestyle service providers.

3. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a display module that communicates with said control module and displays said unicast.

4. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising an audio module that includes a speaker and a microphone and that communicates with said control module, wherein said speaker generates audible sound waves based on data received by said PLD from at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider, and said microphone generates data transmitted by said PLD to at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider based on sound waves received by said microphone.

5. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a keypad module that communicates with said control module and that is used to input information into said PLD.

6. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a search engine that communicates with said control module and searches lifestyle services offered by a lifestyle service provider based on said profile.

7. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a sensing module that communicates with said control module and senses data comprising at least one of an ambient temperature, a body temperature of a user, and a heart-rate of said user.

8. The PLD of claim 7 wherein said order is selectively based on one of said ambient temperature, said body temperature of said user, said heart-rate of said user stored in said memory device.

9. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising an interface module that includes a plurality of communication interfaces and that communicates with said control module and communicates with a non-wireless device having one of said communication interfaces.

10. The PLD of claim 9 wherein said non-wireless device communicates with said wireless network via said PLD.

11. The PLD of claim 1 wherein said communication module communicates peer-to-peer with a device via a wireless network.

12. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a display module that communicates with said control module and automatically displays a list of other users that are online on said wireless network.

13. The PLD of claim 12 wherein said communication module communicates with said users using at least one of voice and instant messaging.

14. The PLD of claim 1 further comprising a biometrics module that communicates with said control module and stores biometric data of a user.

15. The PLD of claim 14 wherein said communication module communicates with a radio frequency identification system based on said biometric data.

16. A method for managing personal lifestyle, comprising:

communicating with a wireless network;

storing authentication information that authorizes communication with said wireless network and a lifestyle service provider;

storing a profile comprising a lifestyle service ordered from said lifestyle service provider in said communication;

automatically communicating said authentication information with at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider;

automatically receiving a unicast for said lifestyle service from said lifestyle service provider, wherein said unicast is selectively based on said profile; and

selectively transmitting an order for said lifestyle service to said lifestyle service provider.

17. The method of claim 16 further comprising communicating with a plurality of wireless networks and a plurality of lifestyle service providers.

18. The method of claim 16 further comprising displaying said unicast.

19. The method of claim 16 further comprising:

generating audible sound waves based on data received from at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider; and

generating data transmitted to at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider based on sound waves.

20. The method of claim 16 further comprising searching lifestyle services offered by a lifestyle service provider based on said profile.

21. The method of claim 16 further comprising sensing data comprising at least one of an ambient temperature, a body temperature of a user, and a heart-rate of said user.

22. The method of claim 21 wherein said order is selectively based on one of said ambient temperature, said body temperature of said user, said heart-rate of said user stored in said memory device.

23. The method of claim 16 further comprising selectively communicating with a non-wireless device.

24. The method of claim 16 further comprising communicating peer-to-peer with a device via a wireless network.

25. The method of claim 16 further comprising automatically displaying a list of users that are online on said wireless network and communicating with said users using at least one of voice and instant messaging.

26. The method of claim 16 further comprising storing biometric data of a user and communicating with a radio frequency identification system based on said biometric data.

27. A personal lifestyle device (PLD), comprising:

communication means for communicating with a wireless network;

memory means for storing authentication information that authorizes communication between said PLD and at least one of said wireless network and a lifestyle service provider, and a profile comprising a lifestyle service ordered from said lifestyle service provider using said PLD; and

control means for communicating with said communication means and said memory means, for automatically establishing communication between said PLD and at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider using said authentication information, for automatically receiving a unicast for said lifestyle service from said lifestyle service provider, wherein said unicast is selectively based on said profile, and for selectively transmitting an order for said lifestyle service to said lifestyle service provider.

28. The PLD of claim 27 wherein said communication means communicates with a plurality of wireless networks and a plurality of lifestyle service providers.

29. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising display means for communicating with said control means and displaying said unicast.

30. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising audio means, including speaker means and microphone means, for communicating with said control means, wherein said speaker means generates audible sound waves based on data received by said PLD from at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider, and said microphone means generates data transmitted by said PLD to at least one of said wireless network and said lifestyle service provider based on sound waves received by said microphone.

31. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising keypad means for communicating with said control means and for inputting information into said PLD.

32. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising search engine means for communicating with said control means and for searching lifestyle services offered by a lifestyle service provider based on said profile.

33. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising sensing means for communicating with said control means and sensing data comprising at least one of an ambient temperature, a body temperature of a user, and a heart-rate of said user.

34. The PLD of claim 33 wherein said order is selectively based on one of said ambient temperature, said body temperature of said user, said heart-rate of said user stored in said memory device.

35. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising interface means for communicating with said control means and communicating with a non-wireless device having said interface means.

36. The PLD of claim 35 wherein said non-wireless device communicates with said wireless network via said PLD.

37. The PLD of claim 27 wherein said communication means communicates peer-to-peer with another device via a wireless network.

38. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising display means for communicating with said control means and automatically displaying a list of users that are online on said wireless network.

39. The PLD of claim 37 wherein said communication means communicates with said users using at least one of voice and instant messaging.

40. The PLD of claim 27 further comprising biometrics means for communicating with said control means and storing biometric data of a user.

41. The PLD of claim 40 wherein said communication means communicates with a radio frequency identification system based on said biometric data.
