Abstract

An interface system is disclosed, the interface system comprising a global interface for enabling navigation through a plurality of documents and a plurality of specific interfaces, at least some documents from the plurality of documents having a specific interface associated therewith.

Claims

1. An interface system comprising:

a global interface for enabling navigation through a plurality of documents; and

a plurality of specific interfaces, at least some documents from the plurality of documents having a specific interface associated therewith.

2. The interface system of claim 1, wherein each specific interface is graphically associated with its related document.

3. The interface system of claim 1, wherein at least some of the documents are disposed on a document vector.

4. The interface system of claim 3, wherein the documents are disposed along a timeline on the document vector.

5. The interface system of claim 1, wherein the specific interfaces are adapted to display a plurality of characterization attributes.

6. The interface system of claim 5, wherein, when the specific interfaces are displaying the plurality of characterization attributes, at least one characterization attribute from the plurality of characterization attributes is graphically selectable.

7. The interface system of claim 1, wherein the specific interfaces enable a text-receiving portion adapted to receive a note.

8. The interface system of claim 7, wherein the text-receiving portion is adapted to receive a plurality of notes, the text-receiving portion being adapted to chronologically order the plurality of notes.

9. The interface system of claim 1, wherein the specific interfaces are adapted to be colored.

10. The interface system of claim 1, wherein the specific interfaces have a size threshold, the specific interfaces being adapted to provide a reduced amount of details when the specific interfaces are smaller than the size threshold.

11. A machine-readable file enabling a tool for classifying documents to allow a multidimensional graphical representation on a computer machine, the tool comprising:

a global interface enabling navigation through a plurality of documents; and

a specific interface adapted to be associated with a document, the specific interface being adapted to display a characterization attribute associated with the document.

12. The machine-readable file of claim 11, further comprising a document vector comprising a plurality of documents, each document having a specific interface associated therewith, all documents on the information element vector having at least one characterization attribute in common.

13. The machine-readable file of claim 11, wherein the characterization attribute is graphically selectable.

14. The machine-readable file of claim 11, wherein a selection of the characterization attribute enables the formation of a document vector.

15. The machine-readable file of claim 11, wherein the global interface comprises a control to magnify the size of the plurality of information elements.

16. The machine-readable file of claim 11, wherein the specific interface comprises a text receiving portion, the text receiving portion being adapted to receive text related to the document associated therewith.
