Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, and devices of user notification. In this regard, one embodiment of such a method, among others, can be broadly summarized by the following: capturing an image in response to an event; relaying capturing of the image to a telephone device; and sending a message to a user at a remote location via the telephone device, the message notifying the user of the capturing of the image.

Claims

1. A method of notification comprising:

capturing an image in response to an event;

relaying the capturing of the image to a telephone device; and

sending a message to a user at a remote location via the telephone device, the message notifying the user of the capturing of the image.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the message includes a hyperlink to the captured image.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the event comprises conversing on a handset of the telephone device and the user is a calling party.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the event comprises detection of motion by a camera that captured the image.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the message notifying the user comprises a voice message made from the telephone device over a PSTN network.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the message notifying the user comprises a voice message made from the telephone device over the Internet.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the telephone device comprises an application that controls operation of the camera.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the camera is positioned remotely from the telephone device and is in communication with the telephone device via a network connection.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the application uploads captured images to a network server.

10. The method of claim 8, wherein the camera is in wireless communications with the telephone device.

11. A computer readable medium having a computer notification program, the program having instructions for performing:

capturing an image in response to an event;

relaying the capturing of the image to a telephone device; and

sending a message to a user at a remote location via the telephone device, the message notifying the user of the capturing of the image.

12. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the message includes a hyperlink to the captured image.

13. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the event comprises conversing on a handset of the telephone device and the user is a calling party.

14. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the event comprises detection of motion by a camera that captured the image.

15. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the message notifying the user comprises a voice message made from the telephone device over a PSTN network.

16. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the message notifying the user comprises a voice message made from the telephone device over the Internet.

17. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the telephone device comprises an application that controls operation of the camera.

18. The computer readable medium of claim 17, wherein the camera is positioned remotely from the telephone device and is in communication with the telephone device via a network connection.

19. The computer readable medium of claim 18, wherein the application uploads captured images to a network server.

20. The computer readable medium of claim 18, wherein the camera is in wireless communications with the telephone device.

21. A system of notification comprising:

first logic of a telephone device configured to receiving notification of a capture of an image in response to an event; and

second logic of the telephone device configured to send a message to a user at a remote location, the message notifying the user of the capturing of the image.

22. The system of claim 21, wherein the message includes a hyperlink to the captured image.

23. The system of claim 21, further comprising:

third logic of the telephone device configured to control operation of the camera.

24. The system of claim 21, wherein the event comprises detection of motion by a camera that captured the image.
