Abstract

Remote provisioning of an IT network and/or associated services is provided. Hardware, software, service and/or expertise can be moved from on-premise to a remote location (e.g., central, distributed . . . ). Accordingly, at least a large degree computation can be moved to the center to exploit economies of scale, among other things. In such an architecture, computational resources (e.g., data storage, computation power, cache . . . ) can be pooled, and entities can subscribe to a particular level of resources related to a private entity IT network.

Claims

1. An information technology (IT) system, comprising:

a service component that manages at least one off-premise resource to remotely provide at least one private IT network; and

an optimization component that optimizes interaction between the at least one off-premise computer resource and local on-premise devices.

2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a computation component that facilitates computational division amongst on-premise devices and off-premise resources available under a subscription.

3. The system of claim 2, further comprising a distribution component that identifies computation division as a function computational power of an on-premise device and the available off-premise resources.

4. The system of claim 3, further comprising a component that determines computational power of an on-premise device.

5. The system of claim 3, further comprising a component that identifies the available off-premise resources based on the subscription.

6. The system of claim 2, the computation component divides computation as a function of substantially real-time information with respect to load and/or communication latency.

7. The system of claim 2, further comprising a procurement component that facilitates acquisition of rights to resources for use by the service component from local clients.

8. The system of claim 7, the procurement component operates an auction wherein services can bid on resources and/or users can offer resources for sale.

9. The system of claim 1, further comprising a cache component that implements an on-premise cache scheme to facilitate local execution when disconnected from the at least one off-premise resource.

10. The system of claim 1, further comprising a cache component that implements a predictive cache scheme that caches off-premise data on an on-premise device based on a probability that data will be processed by the on-premise device.

11. A method of provisioning IT services, comprising the following computer-implemented acts:

provisioning at least one third-party off-premise computer resource remotely to provide at least one IT network; and

optimizing interaction between off-premise resources and on-premise devices.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising optimally distributing computation amongst an on-premise device and off-premise resources.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising identifying computational ability of the on-premise device.

14. The method of claims 13, further comprising identifying available resources afforded by subscription.

15. The method of claim 12, further comprising optimally distributing computation in substantially real-time based on load and/or communication latency.

16. The method of claim 12, further comprising inferring optimal distribution as a function of likely resource usage and/or allocation.

17. The method of claim 12, further comprising subscribing to additional resources to optimize distribution.

18. The method of claim 11, further comprising caching data on-premise to facilitate offline computation.

19. The method of claim 11, further comprising employing machine learning to cache data on-premise based on a likelihood that data will be executed on-premise.

20. A computer-implemented system for affording enterprise IT services remotely, comprising:

means for provisioning off-premise computer resources to form an organizational IT network; and

means for optimizing interaction between on-premise devices and off premise resources as a function of computational ability of the devices, off-premise resources afforded by subscription, load and/or communication latency.
