Abstract

This communicator makes it possible for the user to do telephone, facsimile, and data communication at any location. On a pen input device, a space eye 2, a telephone control system, a facsimile control system, and a data transmission system are mounted. All of them are operated by an input pen 55 or the space eye 2. The pen input device is connected to a wireless telephone equipment 7, and can be connected to a desired party through the public communication channel. In order to make the most of the equipment of a GPS user, the GPS user device 8 is connected to the pen input device 3. The current location of the GPS user is found through the GPS user device 8, and the data on the current location is transmitted to the party. Further, to make this communicator usable in any country, it is provided with means to connect it to a wireless telephone network of an individual service area of the country.

Claims

1. A portable wireless telephone tracking system comprising:

a first portable wireless telephone device including;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;

a global positioning system receiver device that is capable of receiving a signal and calculating position information based on the signal;

a second portable wireless telephone device including;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;

a display;

a global positioning system receiver device that is capable of receiving a signal and calculating position information based on the signal;

wherein the first portable wireless telephone device is capable of showing the second portable wireless telephone device position information on the display.

A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 1, wherein at least one of the first and second portable wireless telephone device has a reply setting device capable of setting whether to accept a request for the position information from the other at least one of the first and second portable wireless telephone device.

3. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 1, further including an automatic response means that accepts the request for the second portable wireless telephone device position information.

4. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 1, wherein the second portable wireless telephone device position information is displayed with a map.

5. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 1, wherein features around the second portable wireless telephone device position information are displayed.

6. A portable wireless telephone tracking system comprising:

a first portable wireless telephone device including;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;

a global positioning system receiver device that is capable of receiving a signal and calculating position information based on the signal;

a automatic response device capable of sending position information to a requesting device or receive position information of the requesting device.

7. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 6, wherein the requesting device is a second portable wireless telephone device.

8. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 7, wherein at least one of the first and second portable wireless telephone device has a reply setting device capable of setting whether to accept a request for the position information from the other at least one of the first and second portable wireless telephone device.

9. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 6, further including an automatic response means that accepts the request for the position information.

10. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 6, wherein the position information is displayed with a map.

11. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 6, wherein features around the position information are displayed.

12. A portable wireless telephone tracking system comprising:

a first portable wireless telephone device including;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device;

a global positioning system receiver device that is capable of receiving a signal and calculating position information based on the signal;

a second portable wireless telephone device including;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving data from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of transmitting data to the communication channel through the wireless communication device; and

a global positioning system receiver device that is capable of receiving a signal and calculating position information based on the signal;

wherein the first portable wireless telephone device, includes a reply setting device capable of setting whether to accept a request for the second portable wireless telephone device position information, further wherein the first portable wireless telephone device is capable of showing the second portable wireless telephone device position information on the first portable wireless telephone device display.

13. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 12, further including an automatic response means that accepts the request for the second portable wireless telephone device position information.

14. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 12, wherein the second portable wireless telephone device position information is displayed with a map.

15. A portable wireless telephone tracking system of claim 12, wherein features around the second portable wireless telephone device position information are displayed.

16. A hand held portable wireless communication device comprising:

a housing including;

a speaker;

a microphone;

a display;

a wireless communication device that is capable of wirelessly connecting to a communication channel and is capable of conducting transmission or reception of voice signals and data signals through the communication channel;

a control device that is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, is capable of receiving the data signals from the communication channel through the wireless communication device, is capable of supplying the data signals to be transmitted to the communication channel through the wireless communication device, and is capable of outputting control commands to the display; and

wherein the housing further includes a front surface, the front surface is positioned around the display, further wherein the front surface includes an operation button indented from a plane defined by the front surface.

17. A hand held portable wireless communication device of claim 16, wherein the operation button is indented from the plane of the front surface by 3 mm.

18. A hand held portable wireless communication device of claim 16, wherein the operation button is electrically connected to the control device.

19. A hand held portable wireless communication device of claim 16, wherein the operation button is capable of turning the device on and off.

20. A hand held portable wireless communication device of claim 16, wherein the display is a touch screen type display.
