Abstract

A method and a terminal for displaying content in a mobile terminal is disclosed. The method includes displaying a first content list collectively including a plurality of different content types, receiving a request from user, and displaying responsive to the request a second content list which only includes content items comprising a content type which is associated with the request.

Claims

1. A method for displaying content in a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying a first content list collectively including a plurality of different content types;

receiving a request from a user; and

displaying responsive to the request a second content list which only includes content items comprising a content type which is associated with the request.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the request comprises user input via a key associated with the mobile terminal.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the key is associated with at least one of the plurality of different content types.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the second content list comprises content filtering.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

filtering contents stored on the mobile terminal responsive to the request to define the second content list.

6. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

displaying at least one function associated with the selected key input.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the second content list further comprises displaying the list in order of one of the most recent time of content execution and frequencies of content execution.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of different content types includes at least one of a photograph, music, moving picture, download, document, and a non-executable type.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the second content list comprises at least one of a Picture In Picture (PIP) mode, a pop-up mode and an On Screen Display (OSD) mode.

10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

transitioning from a first screen displayed on a display of the mobile terminal to a content display screen responsive to the receiving of the request.

18. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the second content list comprises at least one of a Picture In Picture (PIP) mode, a pop-up mode and an On Screen Display (OSD) mode.

11. A method for displaying content in a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

receiving a first request from a user;

displaying on a display of the mobile terminal a menu comprising a content display option;

receiving a second request from the user requesting the content display option; and

displaying on the display responsive to the second request a requested content list which only includes content items comprising a content type which is associated with the first request.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein displaying the second content list comprises content filtering.

15. The method of claim 11, further comprises filtering contents stored on the mobile terminal responsive to the second request to define the requested content list.

16. The method of claim 11, wherein displaying the second content list further comprises displaying the list in order of one of the most recent time of content execution and frequency of content execution.

17. The method of claim 11, wherein the plurality of different content types includes at least one of a photograph, music, moving picture, download, document, and a non-executable type.

12. The method of claim 12, wherein the first user request comprises a single key input.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the first key is associated with at least one of a plurality of different content types.

19. A mobile terminal, comprising:

an input unit configured to receive a user'"'"'s input request;

a display; and

a controller configured to receive a request from the input unit, causing the display to display responsive to the request a second content list which only includes content items comprising a content type which is associated with the request.

20. A mobile terminal, comprising:

an input unit configured to receive a user'"'"'s input request;

a display; and

a controller configured to receive a first request from the input unit, receive a second request from the input unit responsive to the second request, causing the display to display a requested content list which only includes content items comprising a content type which is associated to the first request.
