- a database configured to store a plurality of aesthetic templates, wherein each aesthetic template comprises at least one aesthetic parameter and a value for the parameter; and
an aesthetic yield application configured to;
receive a request over the communications network;
in response to the request, select an aesthetic template from the plurality of aesthetic templates for use in displaying at least one advertisement over the communications network; and
track responsiveness of the end user to the at least one advertisement displayed in accordance with the selected aesthetic template.
