Abstract

A method of displaying contact information on a communication device includes storing a plurality of contacts and corresponding statistical information pertaining to communications on a communication device. Input is received relating to the statistical information. The contacts are displayed based on the input and the statistical information.

Claims

1. A method of displaying contact information on a communications device, the method comprising:

(a) storing statistical information pertaining to communications with a plurality of contacts;

(b) receiving an indication of a desired output format corresponding to the contacts, wherein the desired output format is made available based on the stored statistical information; and

(c) displaying the contact information of the contacts based on the statistical information and the indication received in step (b).

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the statistical information includes phone call frequency information.

3. The method of claim 2, where the phone call frequency information includes information related to incoming phone calls.

4. The method of claim 2, where the phone call frequency information includes information related to outgoing phone calls.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the statistical information includes communication time stamp information.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the statistical information includes information indicating the length of a communication with a contact.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the communications is a telephone call.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the communications is a text message.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the communications is an email.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the communications is a two-way radio communication.

11. A method of displaying contact information on a communications device, the method comprising:

(a) storing statistical information pertaining to communication with a plurality of contacts on the communication device;

(b) receiving, from a user, an indication of a desired output format of the contact records, wherein the indication relates to the type of statistical information stored on the communications device in step (a); and

(c) displaying the contact information of the contact records based on the indication received in step (b).

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the statistical information includes phone call frequency information.

13. The method of claim 11, wherein the statistical information includes communication time stamp information.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the statistical information includes information indicating the length of a communication with a contact.

15. A contact information display system comprising:

a storage device capable of storing a plurality of contact records and statistical information pertaining to communications between a communication device and a plurality of contacts;

an information management module configured to receive, from a user, an indication of a desired output format of the contact records and display the contact records based on the indication and the statistical information.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein the statistical information includes phone call frequency information.

17. The system of claim 15, wherein the statistical information includes communication time stamp information.

18. The system of claim 15, wherein the statistical information includes information indicating the length of a communication with a contact.
