Abstract

An object is to provide a semiconductor device that is capable of wireless communication, such as an RFID tag, which can transmit and receive individual information without checking remaining capacity of a battery or changing batteries due to deterioration with time in the battery for a drive power supply voltage, and maintain a favorable a transmission/reception state even when electric power of an electromagnetic wave from a reader/writer is not sufficient. The semiconductor device includes a signal processing circuit, a first antenna circuit connected to the signal processing circuit, an antenna circuit group, a rectifier circuit group and a battery connected to the signal processing circuit. The first antenna circuit transmits and receives a signal for transmitting data stored in the signal processing circuit and drives a power supply circuit, and each antenna circuit of the antenna circuit group receives a signal for charging the battery and includes an antenna which has a different corresponding frequency.

Claims

1. A semiconductor device comprising:

a first antenna circuit;

a second antenna circuit;

a power storage portion;

a signal processing circuit that is electrically connected to the first antenna circuit, the second antenna circuit and the power storage portion, the signal processing circuit having a first rectifier circuit, a second rectifier circuit and a charging circuit;

wherein the first antenna circuit is electrically connected to the first rectifier circuit,

wherein the second antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the second rectifier circuit and the charging circuit, and

wherein the first antenna circuit and the second antenna circuit have different corresponding frequency bands.

5. A semiconductor device according to claim 1,

wherein the first antenna circuit transmits a signal including data stored in the signal processing circuit and receives a signal including data to be stored in the signal processing circuit, and

wherein the second antenna circuit receives electric power for charging the power storage portion.

9. A semiconductor device according to claim 1, further comprising:

a power supply circuit included in the signal processing circuit,

wherein the power storage portion supplies electric power to the power supply circuit.

13. A semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein the power storage portion comprises a battery or a capacitor.

17. A semiconductor device according to claim 13, wherein the battery is one selected from the group consisting of a lithium battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, a nickel cadmium battery, and an organic radical battery.

2. A semiconductor device comprising:

a first antenna circuit having a first antenna with a first length;

a second antenna circuit having a second antenna with a second length;

a power storage portion;

a signal processing circuit that is electrically connected to the first antenna circuit, the second antenna circuit and the power storage portion, the signal processing circuit having a first rectifier circuit, a second rectifier circuit and a charging circuit;

wherein the first antenna circuit is electrically connected to the first rectifier circuit,

wherein the second antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the second rectifier circuit and the charging circuit, and

wherein the first length of the first antenna is different from the second length of the second antenna.

6. A semiconductor device according to claim 2,

wherein the first antenna circuit transmits a signal including data stored in the signal processing circuit and receives a signal including data to be stored in the signal processing circuit, and

wherein the second antenna circuit receives electric power for charging the power storage portion.

10. A semiconductor device according to claim 2, further comprising:

a power supply circuit included in the signal processing circuit,

wherein the power storage portion supplies electric power to the power supply circuit.

14. A semiconductor device according to claim 2, wherein the power storage portion comprises a battery or a capacitor.

18. A semiconductor device according to claim 14, wherein the battery is one selected from the group consisting of a lithium battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, a nickel cadmium battery, and an organic radical battery.

3. A semiconductor device comprising:

a first antenna circuit;

an antenna circuit group including a second antenna circuit and a third antenna circuit;

a power storage portion;

a signal processing circuit that is electrically connected to the first antenna circuit, the antenna circuit group and the power storage portion, the signal processing circuit having a first rectifier circuit, second rectifier circuit, a third rectifier circuit and a charging circuit;

wherein the first antenna circuit is electrically connected to the first rectifier circuit,

wherein the second antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the second rectifier circuit and the charging circuit,

wherein the third antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the third rectifier circuit and the charging circuit, and

wherein the second antenna circuit and the third antenna circuit have different corresponding frequency bands.

7. A semiconductor device according to claim 3,

wherein the first antenna circuit transmits a signal including data stored in the signal processing circuit and receives a signal including data to be stored in the signal processing circuit, and

wherein the second antenna circuit and the third antenna circuit receive electric power for charging the power storage portion.

11. A semiconductor device according to claim 3, further comprising:

a power supply circuit included in the signal processing circuit,

wherein the power storage portion supplies electric power to the power supply circuit.

15. A semiconductor device according to claim 3, wherein the power storage portion comprises a battery or a capacitor.

19. A semiconductor device according to claim 15, wherein the battery is one selected from the group consisting of a lithium battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, a nickel cadmium battery, and an organic radical battery.

4. A semiconductor device comprising:

a first antenna circuit;

an antenna circuit group including a second antenna circuit having a first antenna with a first length and a third antenna circuit having a second antenna with a second length;

a power storage portion;

a signal processing circuit that is electrically connected to the first antenna circuit, the antenna circuit group and the power storage portion, the signal processing circuit having a first rectifier circuit, second rectifier circuit, a third rectifier circuit and a charging circuit;

wherein the first antenna circuit is electrically connected to the first rectifier circuit,

wherein the second antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the second rectifier circuit and the charging circuit,

wherein the third antenna circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the third rectifier circuit and the charging circuit, and

wherein the first length of the first antenna is different from the second length of the second antenna.

8. A semiconductor device according to claim 4,

wherein the first antenna circuit transmits a signal including data stored in the signal processing circuit and receives a signal including data to be stored in the signal processing circuit, and

wherein the second antenna circuit and the third antenna circuit receive electric power for charging the power storage portion.

12. A semiconductor device according to claim 4, further comprising:

a power supply circuit included in the signal processing circuit,

wherein the power storage portion supplies electric power to the power supply circuit.

16. A semiconductor device according to claim 4, wherein the power storage portion comprises a battery or a capacitor.

20. A semiconductor device according to claim 16, wherein the battery is one selected from the group consisting of a lithium battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, a nickel cadmium battery, and an organic radical battery.

21. A power receiving device comprising:

a plurality of antenna circuits;

a signal processing circuit having a charging circuit and a plurality of rectifier circuits; and

a power storage portion,

wherein each of the plurality of antenna circuits is electrically connected to each of the plurality of rectifier circuits,

wherein each of the plurality of rectifier circuits is electrically connected to the charging circuit, and

wherein the charging circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion.

22. A power receiving device according to claim 21, wherein the plurality of antenna circuits wirelessly receives electric power for charging the power storage portion through the signal processing circuit, and.

23. A power receiving device according to claim 22, wherein the electric power is supplied by a power feeder.

24. A power receiving device according to claim 21, further comprising:

a charging/discharging circuit included in the signal processing circuit,

wherein the charging circuit is electrically connected to the power storage portion through the charging/discharging circuit.

25. A power receiving device according to claim 21, wherein the power storage portion comprises a battery or a capacitor.

26. A power receiving device according to claim 25, wherein the battery is one selected from the group consisting of a lithium battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, nickel cadmium battery, and an organic radical battery.
