Abstract

A bio-measuring meter is provided. The bio-measuring meter includes a receptacle receiving a sample strip for the bio-measuring meter; and a figured piece identifying device comprising plural switches for receiving a figured piece, wherein at least one of the plural switches is switched by the figured piece to generate a current signal, and a datum of the sample strip is adjusted by a predefined respective parameter for the current signal.

Claims

1. A bio-measuring meter, comprising:

a receptacle receiving a sample strip for the bio-measuring meter; and

a figured piece identifying device comprising plural switches for receiving a figured piece,

wherein at least one of the plural switches is switched by the figured piece to generate a switching signal, and a datum of the sample strip is adjusted by a predefined respective parameter for the switching signal.

2. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the figured piece identifying device further comprises:

a memory storing plural parameters; and

a microprocessor electrically connected to the memory and obtaining the predefined respective parameter from the plural parameters according to the switching signal.

3. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the figured piece has a figured element being selected from a group consisting of a projecting element, a protrusion, a sawtoothed element, a rack, a pin, a notch, a cut, a recess, a through hole and a plane plate.

4. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the respective switch is to be switched in an adjustable way being selected from one of a number and an arrangement.

5. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the figured piece is integrally formed with the sample strip.

6. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one of the plural switches is coupled to the figured piece.

7. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the figured piece switches one of an on state and an off states of the at least one of the plural switches.

8. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 1, wherein the switching signal is a voltage variety value.

9. An adjusting method for a bio-measuring meter, comprising steps of:

providing a plurality of circuits;

obtaining an adjustment parameter defined by a switching state of the plurality of circuits; and

adjusting the bio-measuring meter according to the parameter.

10. A method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the switching state of the plurality of circuits is one selected from a plurality of combinations of a respective one of an on and an off states of a respective one of the plurality of circuits.

11. A method as claimed in claim 9 further comprising a step of:

Storing a plurality of parameters corresponding to the combinations.

12. A bio-measuring meter, comprising:

a figured piece identifying device comprising plural switches for receiving a figured piece, wherein at least one of the plural switches is switched by the figured piece to generate a switching signal.

13. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 12 further comprising a receptacle receiving a sample strip for the bio-measuring meter.

14. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 13, wherein a datum of the sample strip is adjusted by a predefined respective parameter for the switching signal.

15. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 13, wherein the figured piece is integrally formed with a sample strip.

16. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 12, wherein the figured piece has a figured element being selected from the group consisting of a projecting element, a protrusion, a sawtoothed element, a rack, a pin, a notch, a cut, a recess, a through hole and a plane plate.

17. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 12, wherein the respective switch is to be switched in an adjustable way being selected from one of a number and an arrangement.

18. A bio-measuring meter as claimed in claim 12, wherein the switching signal is a voltage variety value.

19. A coding module connectable with a bio measuring meter for receiving a sample strip, the coding module defining at least one code, the code ciphering at least one property that is usable on operation of the meter, wherein the at least one code is represented by at least one figured element.

20. A coding module as claimed in claim 19, characterized in that the at least one figured element is able to activate a switch and/or be engageable with a switch on a meter.

21. A coding module as claimed in claim 19, characterized in that the at least one figured element comprises at least one element selected from the group consisting of a projecting element, a protrusion, a tine, a tooth, a pin, an incising element, a cut, a recess and a hole.

22. A coding module as claimed in claim 19, wherein the at least one code is represented by a number and an arrangement of figured elements, preferably representing a binary code of 1 to 10 digits, more preferably of five digits.

23. A set of coding modules, particularly as claimed in claim 19, wherein the set comprises at least two types of coding modules differing in number, in a shape and/or in an arrangement of figured elements.

A bio measuring meter for receiving a sample strip, having a receptacle able to accept a coding module, wherein the bio measuring meter comprises means for receiving information from the coding module defining at least one code, particularly in a module as claimed in claim 19, characterized in that the bio measuring meter comprises means for measuring at least one figured element on the module representing the code.

25. A bio measuring meter as claimed in claim 24, wherein the bio measuring meter comprises mechanical, electromagnetic and/or optical means for measuring the at least one figured element.

26. A bio measuring meter as claimed in claim 24, wherein the bio measuring meter comprises at least one switch, activable by the at least one figured element.

A bio measuring system for analysing an analyte comprising at least one coding module, preferably as claimed in claim 19, defining at least one code, and a bio measuring meter, with means for determining the at least one code from the coding module, the code ciphering at least one parameter value that is used in controlling operation of the meter, preferably in controlling execution of an algorithm performed by the meter that enables analysis of an analyte, wherein the at least one code is represented by at least one figured element and wherein the bio measuring meter comprises means for measuring at least one figured element representing the code.

28. A bio measuring test set comprising:

at least one test strip with an analyte reactant, and a coding module, preferably as claimed in claim 19, being associated with the at least one test strip and pluggable into a bio measuring meter, the coding module defining al least one parameter value that is employed in controlling the operation of the meter, preferably in controlling the execution of an algorithm performed b) the meter that enables analysis of an analyte, wherein the at least one code is represented by at least one figured element.

29. A method for operating a bio measuring meter, preferably as claimed it claim 25, comprising the steps of:

(i) inserting a coding module, preferably as claimed in claim 19, with at least one code into the bio measuring meter;

(ii) detecting the at least one code;

(iii) determining at least one parameter value on the basis of the code; and

(iv) analysing the sample on the basis of the at least one parameter value;

wherein the detecting of the at least one code is carried out by measuring at least one figured element which is arranged on the coding module.
