Abstract

The present invention relates to a micro- or nano-fluidic chip fabricated with a NOA. Said micro- or nano-fluidic chip comprises sequentially an inlet, a channel, and an outlet, wherein the channel has pillar in the region of the outlet to prevent beads from flowing out. The surface of channels in the micro- or nano-fluidic chip of the invention is hydrophilc, which generates spontaneous flow in the channels by a capillary force without any extra external pumping.

Claims

1. A micro- or nano-fluidic chip fabricated with a Norland Optical Adhesive (NOA).

2. The micro- or nano-fluidic chip according to claim 1, comprising sequentially an inlet, a channel, and an outlet, wherein the channel comprises a pillar in the outlet to prevent beads from flowing out.

3. The micro- or nano-fluidic chip according to claim 2, wherein the inner surface of channel of the fluidic chip produced with a NOA is treated with oxygen plasma.

4. A bioanalysis platform comprising the micro- or nano-fluidic chip according to claim 1, wherein the micro- or nano-fluidic is packed with beads.

5. The bioanalysis platform according to claim 4, wherein proteins are immobilized on the beads.

6. A method for fabricating a micro- or nano-fluidic chip by using a NOA comprising sequentially an inlet, a channel, and an outlet, which comprises the steps of:

fabricating channel layer by pouring a NOA over a master mold and curing it;

fabricating top cover layer by coating NOA on a film with punched holes corresponding to the inlet and the outlet of the channel and curing it; and

bonding the channel layer and the top cover layer on a hot plate and curing them.

7. The method for fabricating a micro- or nano-fluidic chip according to claim 6, which further comprises a step of treating the surface of the channel layer with oxygen plasma (O₂ plasma) after fabrication of the channel layer.
