Abstract

A mobile terminal includes a detector that is configured to detect that the mobile terminal is proximate to a device that is situated in a building, to establish communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building and to terminate communications between the mobile terminal and a device that is situated external to the building. Related systems, devices and methods are disclosed.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a detector that is configured to detect that the mobile terminal is proximate to a device that is situated in a building, to establish communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building and to terminate communications between the mobile terminal and a device that is situated external to the building.

2. A mobile terminal according to claim 1, wherein the detector preferentially establishes communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building upon having detected that the mobile terminal is proximate to the device that is situated in a building.

3. A mobile terminal according to claim 2, wherein the mobile terminal is a wireless mobile terminal and wherein communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building are established using frequencies of a terrestrial band of frequencies and/or frequencies of a satellite band of frequencies.

4. A device that is situated in a building, the device comprising:

a detector that is configured to detect that a mobile terminal is proximate to the device that is situated in the building, to establish communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building and to terminate communications between the mobile terminal and a device that is situated external to the building.

5. A device that is situated in a building according to claim 4, wherein the detector preferentially establishes communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building upon having detected that the mobile terminal is proximate to the device that is situated in a building.

6. A device that is situated in a building according to claim 5, wherein the mobile terminal is a wireless mobile terminal and wherein communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building are established using frequencies of a terrestrial band of frequencies and/or frequencies of a satellite band of frequencies.

7. A communications method comprising:

detecting that a mobile terminal is proximate to a device that is situated in a building;

establishing communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building responsive to the detecting; and

terminating communications between the mobile terminal and a device that is situated external to the building responsive to the detecting.

8. A communications method according to claim 7, wherein establishing comprises:

preferentially establishing communications between the mobile terminal and the device that is situated in the building responsive to the detecting.

9. A communications method according to claim 8, wherein establishing communications comprises:

establishing wireless communications using frequencies of a terrestrial band of frequencies and/or frequencies of a satellite band of frequencies.
