- determining whether a receiving device has ever been sent a message associated with a location-based service that enables the receiving device to be directed to a target location from a current location of the receiving device;
if the receiving device has never been sent the message, sending an instructional message to the receiving device that enables the receiving device to download a software application that will enable the receiving device to receive a future message from the location-base service; and
downloading the software application to the receiving device for installation so the future message can be received by the receiving device and the receiving device can utilize the location-based service.
