Abstract

This disclosure discloses a text editing apparatus comprising a display device; an operation device; a conversion candidate creating portion that creates at least one conversion candidate associated with a character and outputs a signal for displaying the created conversion candidate; a finally-determined character string output portion that outputs a signal for displaying the corresponding conversion candidate; and a learning portion that learns and storing character string data for the next creation of said conversion candidate at the time of an input of a learning instruction different from the time of the input of said selective final determination.

Claims

1. A text editing apparatus comprising:

a display device that displays a character string;

an operation device that enables an operator to input an operation;

a conversion candidate creating portion that creates at least one conversion candidate associated with a character input by the operator with said operation device and outputs a signal for displaying the created conversion candidate in said display device;

a finally-determined character string output portion, based on an input of a selective final determination by the operator with said operation device associated with a display of said conversion candidate in said display device, that outputs a signal for displaying the corresponding conversion candidate as a finally-determined character string in said display device; and

a learning portion that learns and stores character string data displayed in said display device for the next creation of said conversion candidate at the time of an input of a learning instruction by the operator with said operation device different from the time of the input of said selective final determination by the operator with said operation device.

2. The text editing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a printing device that prints a character string on a printing object, wherein:

said operation device includes a printing instruction portion that issues a printing instruction for outputting and printing character string data displayed in said display device to said printing device, and

said time of the input of said learning instruction is the time of an input of the printing instruction from the operator with said printing instruction portion,

said learning portion learns and stores said character string data displayed in said display device at the time of the input of the printing instruction.

3. The text editing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising storage device that stores character string data, wherein:

said operation device includes a storage instruction portion that issues a storage instruction for outputting character string data displayed in said display device to said storage device, and

said time of the input of said learning instruction is the time of an input of the storage instruction from the operator with said storage instruction portion,

said learning portion learns and stores said character string data displayed in said display device at the time of the input of the storage instruction.

4. The text editing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:

said learning portion learns and stores edited character string data obtained when the operator performs an editing operation with said operation device as to said finally-determined character string displayed in said display device after the input of said selective final determination.

5. The text editing apparatus according to claim 4, wherein:

said editing operation is an operation for deleting a part of said finally-determined character string by the operator,

said learning portion learns and stores character string data obtained after the deleting by the operator.

6. The text editing apparatus according to claim 4, wherein:

said editing operation is an operation for adding a character to said finally-determined character string by the operator,

said learning portion learns and stores character string data obtained after the adding by the operator.

7. The text editing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:

said learning portion performs said learning and storage including a creation of conversion candidates using a language dictionary conversion program.

8. The text editing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:

said learning portion includes;

a first mode in which said learning and storage are executed at the time of the input of said learning instruction by the operator with said operation device; and

a second mode in which said learning and storage are executed at the time of the input of said selective final determination by the operator with said operation device, and

said operation device enables the operator to select said first mode or said second mode.

9. A recording medium able to be read by a computer that records a program for making a text editing apparatus to practice control steps, said control steps comprising:

a first step for creating at least one conversion candidate associated with a character input by an operator and displaying the created conversion candidate;

a second step, based on an input of a selective final determination by the operator associated with a display of said conversion candidate, for displaying the corresponding conversion candidate as a finally-determined character string; and

a third step for learning and storing character string data displayed at the time of an input of a learning instruction by the operator different from the time of the input of said selective final determination by the operator for the next creation of said conversion candidate.

10. The recording medium according to claim 9, wherein:

said time of the input of said learning instruction of said third step is the time of an input of a printing instruction for printing a character string on a printing object corresponding to the displayed character string data from the operator.

11. The recording medium according to claim 9, wherein:

said time of the input of said learning instruction of said third step is the time of an input of a storage instruction by the operator for storing the displayed character string data to a storage device.

12. The recording medium according to claim 9, wherein:

said third step is a step for learning and storing edited character string data obtained when the operator performs an editing operation as to said finally-determined character string displayed after the input of said selective final determination.

13. The recording medium according to claim 12, wherein:

said editing operation is an operation for deleting a part of said finally-determined character string by the operator,

said third step is a step for learning and storing character string data obtained after the deleting by the operator.

14. The recording medium according to claim 12, wherein:

said editing operation is an operation for adding a character to said finally-determined character string by the operator,

said third step is a step for learning and storing character string data obtained after the adding by the operator.

15. The recording medium according to claim 9, wherein:

said third step is a step for performing said learning and storage including a creation of conversion candidates using a language dictionary conversion program.

16. The recording medium according to claim 9, wherein:

said third step is a step for selectively practicing a first mode in which said learning and storage are executed at the time of the input of said learning instruction by the operator or a second mode in which said learning and storage are executed at the time of the input of said selective final determination by the operator.
