Abstract

A multi-dimensional, such as a three-dimensional, map is created using nodes in communication with each other. The nodes communicate with each other wirelessly via radio frequency (RF) using Bluetooth™ protocol. Detailed location information from the location nodes is downloaded. A mesh network of nodes is in communication with at least one base station and, in turn, is in communication with at least one control center. A mobile device associated with a user located in a specific area of a geographical location is in communication with a control center to create a multi-dimensional map.

Claims

1. A system for developing a map of a multi-dimensional space for use by a user, the user being selectively individuals, vehicles, and other entities, comprising:

using a geographical zone, the zone selectively being a preconfigured geographical zone,

the zone including a plurality of spaced apart nodes, wherein the nodes are arranged in a multi-dimensional sense;

sending data communications between one or more of the nodes, one or more users, and one or more control stations; and

affecting multi-dimensional mapping according to the placement of the nodes and the communications between the nodes and the control stations.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the mapping is affected in a three-dimensional sense, selectively being the three-dimensional sense in the x, y, and z axes or coordinates.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the nodes are enabled selectively to communicate with GPS and with Bluetooth™

protocols.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the nodes are enabled with a Bluetooth™

protocol to effect communications between nodes and users of the mapping, the users of the mapping have mobile devices being at least Bluetooth™

protocol enabled.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the nodes are selectively part of a mesh network or other suitable network configuration.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the nodes selectively communicate with users having a selected subscriber device, the device being selectively a cell phone, PDA, or computer device.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the communication is through a Bluetooth™

protocol.

8. The system of claim 1, including the ability to effect fine resolution determination of a location as part of a multi-dimensional map of a location containing the nodes.

9. The system of claim 1, including defining a geographical zone, the zone being multi-dimensional, and regulating a user being a movable entity that has a transponder or subscriber device, the device being selectively a cell phone, PDA pager, computer, or device configured to be in wireless communication with other devices and nodes through a wireless communication network.

10. The system of claim 1, including loading from a computing device to memory in a transponder or subscriber device a plurality of coordinates;

mapping the coordinates on a pixilated image wherein the pixilated image is configurable; and

forming a contiguous array of pixels that enclose a shape in the pixilated image to form the geographic space.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein a user enters the plurality of coordinates by entering on a computer the longitude, latitude, and elevation.

12. The system of claim 10, wherein the plurality of coordinates are entered by a user of a computer device, and transmitted to the transponder or subscriber device.

13. The system of claim 10, wherein a user enters the plurality of coordinates by the user selecting points in a map in a computer by clicking on the map;

and calculating geographical coordinates of each selected point in the map.

14. The system of claim 1, wherein a multi-dimensional shape of a geographical area is the shape of a non-regular geometrical shape.

15. The system of claim 1, including loading from a computing device to memory in a transponder or subscriber device a plurality of coordinates, wherein the plurality of coordinates identify a multi-dimensional area;

dividing the multi-dimensional area into a grid, allowing at least one user to select at least one section from within the grid in order to define a multi-dimensional geographical region; and

associating the at least one section with at least one pixel in a pixilated computer image of the multi-dimensional area such that the pixels selected by the at least one user are identified as being located in the multi-dimensional geographical region.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein the multi-dimensional area is divided into a grid of three-dimensional squares or rectangles, and wherein the three-dimensional squares or rectangles of the grid have at least one depth.

17. A system for mapping a geographical space comprising:

communicating data between communication nodes and a selected mobile communication device;

arranging an array of communication nodes about a three-dimensional geographical space;

enabling one or more different mobile communication devices to be in communication with different communication nodes when the devices are within range of one or more selected nodes; and

associating the mobile device with the respective nodes such that the mobile device is locatable in the three-dimensional space.

18. The system of claim 17 wherein the nodes are arranged in a three-dimensional sense, selectively being the three-dimensional sense in the x, y, and z axes or coordinates;

and affecting three-dimensional mapping according to the placement of nodes in a three-dimensional sense.

19. A system for developing a map of a multi-dimensional space comprising:

defining a geographical space in multi-dimensions,

the space including a plurality of spaced apart nodes, wherein the nodes are arranged about the multi-dimensional space;

sending data communications wirelessly between one or more of the nodes, and by wire or wirelessly to one or more control stations, the wireless communication protocol in part being at least by a Bluetooth™

protocol; and

affecting mapping according to the placement of nodes and the communications between the nodes and the control stations.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the mapping is affected in a three-dimensional sense, selectively being a three-dimensional sense in the x, y, and z axes or coordinates.

21. The system of claim 19, wherein the nodes are enabled selectively to communicate with GPS and with Bluetooth™

protocols, and wherein the nodes are selectively part of a mesh network or other suitable network configuration.

22. A map of a multi dimensional space comprising:

a geographical space in multi-dimensions,

the space including a plurality of spaced apart nodes and the nodes being arranged about the multi-dimensional space;

the map having being affected by communications wirelessly between one or more of the nodes, and by wire or wirelessly to one or more control stations, the wireless communication protocol in part being at least by a Bluetooth™

protocol.

23. The map of claim 22, wherein the geographical space is in three-dimensions.
