1. A vehicle seat comprising:
- a seat back;
a seat cushiona support base supporting the seat back on a vehicle floor;
a front link coupling the support base and the seat cushion to each other and pivotally coupled to each of the support base and the seat cushion; and
a rear link coupling the seat cushion and the support base to each other and pivotally coupled to each of the seat cushion and the support base;
wherein the seat back is coupled to the support base, so that the seat back can tilt forwardly relative to the support base; and
wherein the rear link is coupled to the seat cushion at a position rearward of a coupling point of the front link to the seat cushion; and
a force transmission device comprising a transmitting section provided at the seat back and a force receiving section provided at the rear link and configured to receive transmission of force from the transmitting section when the seat back is tilted forwardly;
wherein as the force is transmitted from the transmitting section to the force receiving section, the rear link pivots together with the front link, so that the seat cushion shifts downward; and
wherein a point where the force is transmitted from the transmitting section to the force receiving section is set at a higher level than a point where the rear link and the support base are coupled to each other.

Abstract
A vehicle seat includes a support base, a seat back tiltably supported on the support base, a seat cushion, a first link and a second link. Each of the first and second links is pivotally coupled to the support base and the seat cushion, so that a quadrant link mechanism is formed by the support base, the seat cushion, the first link and the second link. A coupling device couples the seat back to the first link at a position between a first coupling point and a second coupling point. The first coupling point couples the first link to the seat cushion, and the second coupling point couples the first link to the support base.
