Abstract
In a method for controlling a vehicle drive unit having at least two individual drives and a vehicle control unit, a continuous torque comparison between a permissible torque MZul and a further torque is performed by the control unit. The permissible torque MZul is continuously compared to setpoint torques Msetpoint,V and Msetpoint,E for the least two individual drives.

21. A vehicle control unit for controlling a vehicle drive unit having at least one internal combustion engine and at least one electric drive, the internal combustion engine and the electric drive each being assigned a respective drive control unit, the vehicle control unit comprising:
-
a first level arrangement configured for functional level operations; a second level arrangement configured for monitoring level operations; a signal line extending between the first level arrangement and the second level arrangement, wherein at least one of a setpoint torque for the first drive, a setpoint torque for the second drive, and a summed setpoint torque for a combination of the first and second drives is transmitted via the signal line to the second level arrangement. - View Dependent Claims (22)
