Abstract

An interconnection line device includes an insulating layer for electrical insulation; an external connection terminal which is formed on one surface of the insulating layer: an interconnection line which is formed on another surface of the insulating layer and whose one end portion area is connected to a predetermined signal line; and a connection portion which is arranged so as to penetrate through the insulating layer and connects another end portion area of the interconnection line to the external connection terminal.

Claims

1. An interconnection line device, comprising:

an insulating layer for electrical insulation;

an external connection terminal which is formed on one surface of said insulating layer;

an interconnection line which is formed on another surface of said insulating layer and whose one end portion area is connected to a predetermined signal line; and

a connection portion which is arranged so as to penetrate through said insulating layer and connects another end portion area of said interconnection line to said external connection terminal.

2. The interconnection line device according to claim 1, wherein

said connection portion is formed at a position a predetermined distance away from the end portion of said external connection terminal.

3. The interconnection line device according to claim 1, wherein

said connection portion is formed at a position at which the resistance value of said interconnection line is approximately set to a predetermined value.

4. The interconnection line device according to claim 1, wherein

the line width of said interconnection line is changed at the intermediate point of said interconnection line.

5. The interconnection line device according to claim 1, wherein

said interconnection line is formed approximately in a straight line.

6. The interconnection line device according to claim 1, wherein

said interconnection line includes a meandering section in which the line is formed in a meandering shape.

7. An image display apparatus, comprising:

a driving circuit which outputs a control signal;

a display panel having pixels which are controlled by said control signal transmitted via a predetermined signal line for a display of an image; and

a plurality of interconnection line devices which include an insulating layer that is an electric insulator, an external connection terminal which is formed on one surface of said insulating layer and connected to said driving circuit, an interconnection line which is formed on another surface of said insulating layer and whose one end portion area is connected to said signal line, and a connection portion which is arranged so as to penetrate through said insulating layer and connects another end portion area of said interconnection line to said external connection terminal.

8. The image display apparatus according to claim 7, wherein

said display panel includes a display area in which an image is displayed, a frame area which is an area around said display area and in which said interconnection line is formed, and a terminal area which is an area around said frame area and in which said external connection terminal is formed and said connection portion is formed in said terminal area and connects said external connection terminal to said interconnection line.

9. The image display apparatus according to claim 7, wherein

said connection portion is formed at a position a predetermined distance away from the end portion of said external connection terminal.

10. The image display apparatus according to claim 7, wherein

said connection portion is formed at a position at which the resistance value of said interconnection line is approximately set to a predetermined value.

11. An interconnection line device, comprising:

insulating means for electrical insulation;

external connection means which is formed on one surface of said insulating means;

interconnection means which is formed on another surface of said insulating means and whose one end portion area is connected to a predetermined signal line; and

connection means which is arranged so as to penetrate through said insulating means and connects another end portion area of said interconnection means to said external connection means.

12. The interconnection line device according to claim 11, wherein

said connection means is formed at a position a predetermined distance away from the end portion of said external connection means.

13. The interconnection line device according to claim 11, wherein

said connection means is formed at a position at which the resistance value of said interconnection means is approximately set to a predetermined value.

14. A method for manufacturing an interconnection line device, comprising the steps of:

forming an interconnection line;

forming an insulating layer on said interconnection lines;

forming a connection portion so as to penetrate through said insulating layer; and

forming an external connection terminal on said insulating layer and electrically connecting said external connection terminal to said interconnection line with said connection portion.

15. The method for manufacturing an interconnection line device according to claim 14, wherein

a step for forming said connection portion includes a step in which said connection portion is formed at a position a predetermined distance away from the end portion of said external connection terminal.

16. The method for manufacturing an interconnection line device according to claim 14, wherein

a step for forming said connection portion includes a step in which said connection portion which connects said external connection terminal to said interconnection line is formed at a position which is determined according to the resistance value of said interconnection line.

17. The method for manufacturing an interconnection line device according to claim 14, wherein

a step for forming said interconnection line includes a step in which the line width of said at least one interconnection line among said plurality of interconnection lines is changed at an intermediate point of said interconnection line.

18. The method for manufacturing an interconnection line device according to claim 14, wherein

a step for forming said interconnection line includes a step in which said interconnection line is formed in a straight line.

19. The method for manufacturing an interconnection line device according to claim 14, wherein

a step for forming said interconnection line includes a step in which said at least one interconnection line among said plurality of interconnection lines is formed in a meandering shape.
