Abstract

The invention provides a device for displaying information, comprising display means adapted to graphically display information as a function of time for a given period of time, and input means for changing the time from a first time setting to a second time setting, thereby generating an end of time value for the first setting and a start of time value for the second time setting. The display means is controlled to display a first and a second view, the first view displaying, for the given period of time, information corresponding to the first time setting until the end of time value, the second view displaying, for the given period of time, information corresponding to the second time setting from the start of time value. In the first view the period between the end of time value and the end of the given period is indicated as not comprising information as a function of time, and in the second view the period between the beginning of the given period and the start of time value is indicated as not comprising information as a function of time. By this arrangement a user interface is provided reducing the likelihood that graphically displayed information is misinterpreted in case of a time change event.

Claims

1. A device (1) for displaying information, comprising:

storage means for storing information of at least one type,

time keeping means adapted to be set to a given time-setting,

display means (30) adapted to graphically display information as a function of time for a given period of time,

processor means adapted to control the display means, and

input means (10),

wherein the input means is adapted to;

change a set time-setting from a first time-setting to a second time-setting,

wherein the processor means is adapted to;

(a) generate a first time stamp in the form of an end-of-time value for the first time setting when the set time is changed from a from a first time-setting to a second time-setting, and

(b) generate a second time stamp in the form of a start-of-time value for the second time setting when the set time is changed from a from a first time-setting to a second time-setting, and

wherein the processor means is adapted to control the display means to;

(c) for the given period of time, and corresponding to the first time setting, graphically display a first view comprising;

(i) a first portion (71) displaying information of a given type as a function of time until the end-of-time value, and

(ii) a second portion (73) displaying no information of the given type from the end-of-time-value, and

(d) for the given period of time, and corresponding to the second time setting, graphically display a second view comprising;

(i) a first portion (74) displaying no information of the given type for the time until the start-of-time value, and

(ii) a second portion (72) displaying information of the given type as a function of time from the start-of-time value.

2. A device as in claim 1, wherein the input means is user input means allowing a user to:

change the set time-setting from the first time-setting to the second time-setting, and

select a given period of time.

3. A device as in claim 2, wherein the user input means allows the user to:

select between the first and second view.

4. A device as in claim 2, wherein the processor means is adapted to store data organized as data units, each data unit comprising:

(i) time data,

(ii) type data,

(iii) information data, and

wherein the user input means allows the user to select a given data type to be displayed.

5. A device as in claim 1, wherein the display means is adapted to graphically display a number of sub-periods for the given period of time.

6. A device as in claim 5, wherein the given period is a week and the sub-period is a day or a part thereof, the first view displaying the sub-period comprising the end-of-time value, the second view displaying the sub-period comprising the start-of-time value.

7. A device as in claim 5, wherein the given period is a day and the sub-period is an hour or a part thereof, the first view displaying the sub-period comprising the end of time value, the second view displaying the sub-period comprising the start of time value.

8. A device as in claim 1, wherein the display means is adapted to display information as a graph.

9. A device as in claim 1, wherein the display means is adapted to display information as discrete events.

10. A device as in claim 1, wherein the display, for a period comprising no information as a function of time for a given type of data, comprises a symbol (75) indicating that a change of time-setting has taken place.

11. A drug delivery system comprising:

a device (1, 100) for displaying information as in any of the previous claims,

a reservoir (350) adapted to contain a drug,

an expelling assembly (330) adapted for cooperation with the reservoir to expel drug out of the reservoir, and

at least one processor (361) adapted to control the expelling device in accordance with a programmed infusion profile.

12. A system as in claim 11, comprising a delivery unit (1050) in which the reservoir and the expelling assembly are arranged, and a control unit (1, 100) comprising the display and input means, the delivery and control units being adapted to communicate with each other.

13. A system as in claim 11, comprising a delivery unit in which the reservoir and the expelling assembly are arranged, the delivery unit further comprising the display and user input means.

14. A method for displaying information, comprising the steps of:

(a) providing a device comprising;

(i) storage means for storing information,

(ii) time keeping means adapted to be set to a given time-setting,

(iii) display means (30) adapted to graphically display information as a function of time for a given period of time,

(b) changing the time-setting from a first time-setting to a second time-setting, thereby creating an end-of-time value for the first time setting and a start-of-time value for the second time setting,

(c) for a given period of time and for a given type of information, selectably display a first or a second view,

the first view displaying information (71) corresponding to the first time setting until the end-of-time value, the second view displaying information (72) corresponding to the second time setting from the start-of-time value,

wherein in the first view the period (73) from the end-of-time is indicated as not comprising information of the given type as a function of time, and in the second view the period (74) until the start-of-time value is indicated as not comprising information of the given type as a function of time.
