Abstract

In various embodiments, a player may place a bet on one or more previously played games. Other systems and methods are disclosed.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

a processor; and

a machine readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions that when executed cause the apparatus to perform a method comprising;

determining a sporting event on which a primary player placed a wager, in which the sporting event is determined after the sporting event is finished and after the sporting event has been presented to the primary player;

receiving a wager from a secondary player, in which the wager is received after the sporting event is finished and after the sporting event has been presented to the primary player;

presenting an indication based on the sporting event to the secondary player, in which the presenting is performed after the wager is received;

determining an outcome of the wager based on an outcome of the sporting event; and

providing a payout to the secondary player based on the outcome of the wager.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the method further comprises:

determining a second sporting event, in which the second sporting event is determined after the second sporting event is finished;

in which presenting the indication includes presenting a new sporting event based on the sporting event and the second sporting event; and

in which determining the outcome of the wager includes determining the outcome of the wager based on the outcome of the sporting event and an outcome of the second sporting event.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, in which determining the sporting event includes choosing the sporting event at random from a plurality of sporting events that have finished in the past.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the wager includes a wager that the primary player did not make.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, in which presenting the indication based on the sporting event includes a recreation of the sporting event based on stored information about the sporting event other than video footage of the sporting event.

6. The apparatus of claim 5, in which the recreation includes video footage of another sporting event.

7. The apparatus of claim 5, in which the recreation includes computer generated images in which the recreating includes a disguise to the sporting event.

8. The apparatus of claim 5, in which the recreating includes a display of a different type of sporting event than the sporting event.

9. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the sporting event includes a race.

10. The apparatus of claim 1, in which determining the sporting event includes reading a data tag created at a time associated with the sporting event that identifies that the sporting event is to be chosen at the time of the determining.

11. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the method further comprises preventing a second secondary player from placing a wager based on a possibility that the second secondary player has knowledge of events related to the sporting event.

12. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the method further comprises preventing a second secondary player from placing a wager based on information identifying that the second secondary player placed a bet on the sporting event at the time of the sporting event.

13. The apparatus of claim 1, in which determining the sporting event may be based on an attribute selected by the secondary player.

14. The apparatus of claim 13, in which the attribute includes at least one of a date, a location, the primary player, and an outcome.

15. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the method further comprises compensating a venue at which the sporting event occurred.
