Abstract

A method, apparatus and system is applied to provide a unified content posting mechanism. The method comprises: receiving a single version of content to be posted on one or more remote servers; formatting the received content according to one or more predetermined criteria for posting on the one or more remote servers; posting the formatted content on the one or more remote servers via one or more post services. The method, apparatus and system provide the standardized and simplified process of posting content to the websites.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving a single version of content to be posted on one or more remote servers,

formatting the received content according to one or more predetermined criteria for posting on the one or more remote servers,

posting the formatted content on the one or more remote servers via one or more post services.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein posting the formatted content on the one or more remote servers via the one or more post services comprises utilizing a post service for a corresponding Web server.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the post service corresponding to a Web server is indicated by a post feed list.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the post feed includes a description of the post service.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising a broker service to receive, verify and post content.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the received content may conform to different protocols.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising filtering the content of the post format before being posted.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising rendering the content of the post format before being posted.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising utilizing a post proxy to emulate a post service for a server if the post service is not available.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the post format includes one or more of:

a title, a time-stamp, an author, a category, keywords, an abstract, media content, and a signature.

11. The method of claim 2, wherein the post broker service is available at multiple servers in multiple locations.

12. An article comprising a tangible computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to:

receive a single version of content to be posted on one or more remote servers,

format the received content according to one or more predetermined criteria for posting on the one or more remote servers,

post the formatted content on the one or more remote servers via one or more post services.

13. The article of claim 12, further comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to cause a client agent to invoke a post service corresponding to a web site.

14. The article of claim 13, wherein the post service is invoked via a broker service.

15. The article of claim 13, further comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to cause a client agent to invoke the post service via a post proxy that simulates the post service.

16. The article of claim 12, further comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to provide a broker service to receive, verify and post content.

17. The article of claim 12, wherein the received content may conform to different protocols.

18. The article of claim 12, further comprising filtering the content of the post format before being posted.

19. The article of claim 12, further comprising rendering the content of the post format before being posted.

20. The article of claim 12, further comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to utilize a post proxy to emulate a post service for a server if the post service is not available.

21. A system comprising:

a dynamic random access memory (DRAM); and

an agent coupled with the memory to receive a single version of content to be posted on the one or more remote servers, to format the received content according to the one or more predetermined criteria for posting on the one or more remote servers, and to post the formatted content on the one or more remote servers.

22. The system of claim 21, wherein the agent invokes a post service corresponding to a web site.

23. The system of claim 22, wherein the post service is invoked via a broker service.

24. The system of claim 22, wherein the post service comprises a post feed includes a description of the post service.

25. The system of claim 21, wherein the received content may conform to different protocols.

26. The system of claim 21, further comprising an agent to filter the content of the post format before being posted.

27. The system of claim 21, further comprising a post proxy to emulate a post service for a server if the post service is not available.
