Abstract

The method is suitable for dysorthographic or partially sighted persons, to facilitate the semantic, syntactic and/or lexical correction of an erroneous expression in a digital text input by a user. The method comprises the sequence of: a step (74) of transforming the digital text into a digital voice message, in which the graphemes of the erroneous textual expression are converted into phoneme(s) constituting an intelligible vocal expression, then a step (78) of processing the digital voice message obtained at the end of the transformation step (74), in which the phoneme or phonemes constituting the intelligible vocal expression are converted into grapheme(s) constituting a corrected textual expression of the erroneous textual expression, with the aid of pre-established writing rules.

Claims

1. A method of semantic, syntactic and/or lexical correction of an erroneous expression in a digital text, characterized in that it comprises at one and the same time:

a step (74) of transforming the digital text into a digital voice message, in which the graphemes of the erroneous textual expression are converted into phoneme(s) constituting an intelligible vocal expression, and then

a step (78) of processing the digital voice message obtained at the end of the transformation step (74), in which the phoneme or phonemes constituting the intelligible vocal expression is or are converted into grapheme(s) constituting a corrected textual expression of the erroneous textual expression, with the aid of pre-established writing rules.

2. The method as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it comprises, before the transformation step (74), a step (72) of providing a digital set of textual information data representative of the digital text with the erroneous expression,

in that the transformation step (74) comprises an operation of converting the set of textual information data into a digital set of vocal information data representative of the phoneme or phonemes associated with the grapheme(s) of the digital text, including the phoneme or phonemes constituting the intelligible vocal expression, and in that the processing step (78) comprises an operation of converting the vocal information digital data set, provided by the conversion operation of the transformation step (74), into a digital set of textual information data representative of a reconstituted digital text including the corrected textual expression.

The method as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it furthermore comprises, between the transformation step (74) and the processing step (78), a step (76) of sound synthesis of the digital voice message obtained at the end of the transformation step, at the end of which synthesis step the digital voice message to be processed during the processing step (78) is validated.

10. An information recording medium (52) or computer program, characterized in that it comprises instructions for executing a correction method in accordance with claim 1, when these instructions are executed by an electronic computer.

4. A semantic, syntactic and/or lexical electronic corrector (8) for facilitating the semantic and/or syntactic and/or lexical correction of an erroneous expression in a digital text, characterized in that this corrector includes at one and the same time:

a module (40) for transforming the digital text into a digital voice message, this transformation module being able to convert the grapheme or graphemes of the erroneous textual expression into phoneme(s) constituting an intelligible vocal expression, and

a module (42) for processing the digital voice message provided by the transformation module (40), this processing module being able to convert the phoneme or phonemes constituting the intelligible vocal expression and provided by the transformation module, into grapheme(s) constituting a corrected textual expression of the erroneous expression, with the aid of a pre-established base (56) of writing rules.

5. The corrector as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the transformation module (40) and the processing module (42) are respectively suitable for implementing in a successive manner the transformation step (74) and the processing step (78) of a method.

The corrector as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the transformation module (40) is able to provide the phoneme or phonemes according to a predetermined voice model, with the aid of a voice model base (52), and in that the processing module (42) is able to identify the phoneme or phonemes to be converted, with the aid of a base (54) of recognition rules for the predetermined voice model.

7. The corrector as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that it furthermore comprises:

at least one loudspeaker (30) able to synthesize as audible sounds the digital voice message provided by the transformation module (40), and

an activation device (24) for activating, under the control of a user, the processing module (42) so as to apply this processing module to the digital voice message synthesized by the loudspeaker.

8. The corrector as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the transformation module (40) is able to segment the digital voice message into words or groups of words, with the aid of a pre-established base of segmentation rules.

9. The corrector as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that it furthermore includes a module (44) for automatic orthographic correction of the corrected textual expression provided by the processing module (42).
