Abstract

A method of receiving and processing a Non-Real Time (NRT) service and a broadcast receiver are disclosed herein. A method of processing an NRT service in a broadcast receiver includes receiving and processing a signaling information table including detail information of each content in the NRT service and indication information indicating whether the content is available on internet, acquiring internet access information of each file belonging to content available on the internet through File Delivery Table (FDT) of File Delivery over Unidirection Transport (FLUTE) based on the indication information, and downloading files belonging to the content by accessing the internet based on the acquired internet access information.

Claims

1. A method of processing a Non-Real Time (NRT) service in a broadcast receiver, the method comprising:

receiving and processing a signaling information table including detail information of each content in the NRT service and indication information indicating whether the content is available on Internet;

acquiring internet access information of each file belonging to content available on the internet through File Delivery Table (FDT) of File Delivery over Unidirection Transport (FLUTE) based on the indication information; and

downloading files belonging to the content by accessing the internet based on the acquired internet access information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication information is included in the signaling information table as a field format.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the internet access information of each file belonging to the content available on the internet is acquired in a corresponding Content-Location attribute of FDT of the FLUTE.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the Content-Location attribute indicates internet URL of a specific file.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising, if the content is available on the internet by checking the indication information, outputting on a display a guide message indicating that the content is available on the internet.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising displaying on the display a selection message to download the content available on the Internet by accessing the Internet.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein each file belonging to the content not available on the internet is downloaded through an FLUTE session at a pre-determined time.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein access information of the signaling information table includes well-known Internet Protocol (IP) address and well-known User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port number.

9. A broadcast receiver for receiving a Non-Real Time (NRT) service, the broadcast receiver comprising:

a signaling information processor for receiving and processing a signaling information table including detail information of each content in the NRT service and indication information indicating whether the content is available on internet;

a service manager for acquiring internet access information of each file belonging to content available on the internet through File Delivery Table (FDT) of File Delivery over Unidirection Transport (FLUTE) based on the indication information and downloading files belonging to the content by accessing the internet based on the acquired internet access information.

10. The broadcast receiver of claim 9, wherein the indication information is included in the signaling information table as a field format.

11. The broadcast receiver of claim 9, wherein the internet access information of each file belonging to the content available on the internet is acquired in a corresponding Content-Location attribute of FDT of the FLUTE.

12. The broadcast receiver of claim 11, wherein the Content-Location attribute indicates internet URL of a specific file.

13. The broadcast receiver of claim 9, further comprising a presentation manager for outputting on a display a guide message indicating that the content is available on the internet if the content is available on the internet by checking the indication information.

14. The broadcast receiver of claim 13, wherein the presentation manager displays on the display a selection message to download the content available on the internet by accessing the internet.

15. The broadcast receiver of claim 9, wherein the service manager downloads each file belonging to the content not available on the internet through an FLUTE session at a pre-determined time.
