Abstract

A cable for encasing one or more wires includes at least one wire, cable, or conductor, a tube surrounding the at least one wire, cable, or conductor, and a conductive or textile material surrounding the tube. The cable further includes a jacket surrounding the conductive or textile material, wherein the jacket is formed from at least one synthetic rubber.

Claims

1. A cable for encasing one or more wires, comprising:

at least one wire, cable, or conductor;

a tube surrounding the at least one wire, cable, or conductor;

a conductive or textile material surrounding the tube; and

a jacket surrounding the conductive or textile braid, wherein the jacket is formed from at least one synthetic rubber.

The cable of claim 1, wherein the tube is formed of a flexible and durable material and is selected from the group consisting of PTFE, perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), a rubber material, a rubber material including one or more compounds from the nitrile family and/or one or more other rubber compounds, and the like, and combinations thereof.

3. The cable of claim 1, wherein the conductive or textile material is formed of a material that provides mechanical protection and is selected from the group consisting of stainless steel, copper, textile material, and the like, and combinations thereof.

4. The cable of claim 1, wherein the material forming the jacket is formed of a material having one or more of the following properties:

abrasion-proof or resistant, heat resistant, flame resistant, tear resistant, low temperature flexibility, chemical resistant, and high temperature resistant.

5. The cable of claim 4, wherein the material forming the jacket is selected from the group consisting of:

a polyester and aramid yarn, PTFE, stainless steel, and one or more synthetic rubbers.

6. The cable of claim 1, wherein the tube is PTFE, the conductive or textile material is stainless steel, and the jacket is a blend of polyester and aramid yarn.

7. The cable of claim 1, wherein the tube is a material including one or more compounds from the nitrile family, the conductive or textile material is a textile material, and the jacket is a material including at least one synthetic rubber.

8. The cable of claim 7, wherein the synthetic rubber is neoprene.

9. A method of assembling a cable, the method comprising the steps of:

supplying one or more cables, wires, or conductors;

encasing the one or more cables, wires, or conductors within a flexible tube;

surrounding the tube with a conductive or textile material; and

surrounding the conductive or textile material with an outer jacket formed of at least one synthetic rubber.

The method of claim 9, wherein the tube is formed of a flexible and durable material and is selected from the group consisting of PTFE, perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), a rubber material, a rubber material including one or more compounds from the nitrile family and/or one or more other rubber compounds, and the like, and combinations thereof.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the conductive or textile material is formed of a material that provides mechanical protection and is selected from the group consisting of stainless steel, copper, textile material, and the like, and combinations thereof.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the material forming the jacket is formed of a material having one or more of the following properties:

abrasion-proof or resistant, heat resistant, flame resistant, tear resistant, low temperature flexibility, chemical resistant, and high temperature resistant.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the material forming the jacket is selected from the group consisting of:

a polyester and aramid yarn, PTFE, stainless steel, and one or more synthetic rubbers.

14. The method of claim 9, wherein the tube is PTFE, the conductive or textile material is stainless steel, and the jacket is a blend of polyester and aramid yarn.

15. The cable of claim 9, wherein the tube is a material including one or more compounds from the nitrile family, the conductive or textile material is a textile material, and the jacket is a material including at least one synthetic rubber.

16. The cable of claim 15, wherein the synthetic rubber is neoprene.

17. A cable for encasing one or more wires, comprising:

at least one wire, cable, or conductor;

a tube surrounding the at least one wire, cable, or conductor; and

a jacket surrounding the tube, wherein the jacket is formed from at least one synthetic rubber.

18. The cable of claim 17, wherein the tube is formed of a flexible and durable material and is selected from the group consisting of PTFE, perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), a rubber material, a rubber material including one or more compounds from the nitrile family and/or one or more other rubber compounds, and the like, and combinations thereof.

19. The cable of claim 17, wherein the material forming the jacket is formed of a material having one or more of the following properties:

abrasion-proof or resistant, heat resistant, flame resistant, tear resistant, low temperature flexibility, chemical resistant, and high temperature resistant.

20. The cable of claim 19, wherein the material forming the jacket is selected from the group consisting of:

a polyester and aramid yarn, PTFE, stainless steel, and one or more synthetic rubbers.
