Abstract

A method for initializing a protection device PD comprising steps of: receiving by a beacon receiver beacon information from other protection devices around the PD; sending by the beacon receiver the received beacon information to a channel monitoring decision maker within a time period set in a channel monitoring timer; determining by the channel monitoring decision maker whether there exists any primary beacon transmission device PPD; if yes, deciding the PD as a secondary beacon transmission device SPD; if no, deciding the PD as a PPD; receiving by an initialization process decision maker a determination result from the channel monitoring decision maker and determining an operation status of the PD within a time period set in the initialization process timer; outputting by the initialization process decision maker the determination result to a transmitter of the PD to decide whether the transmitter has transmitted any data or request information.

Claims

1. A method for initializing a protection device (PD) in a wireless microphone beacon system comprising steps of:

receiving by a beacon receiver beacon information from other protection devices around the PD;

sending by the beacon receiver the received beacon information to a channel monitoring decision maker within a time period set in a channel monitoring timer;

determining by the channel monitoring decision maker whether there exists any primary beacon transmission device (PPD);

if yes, deciding the PD as a secondary beacon transmission device (SPD);

if no, deciding the PD as a PPD;

receiving by an initialization process decision maker a determination result from the channel monitoring decision maker and determining an operation status of the PD within a time period set in the initialization process timer; and

outputting by the initialization process decision maker the determination result to a transmitter of the PD to decide whether the transmitter has transmitted any data or request information.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein a channel timer is used by the PD for the initialization timing.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the PD enables a timer after a channel monitoring process is completed.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the PD includes the PPD and SPD.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the operation status of the PD determined by the initialization process decision maker include:

if the PD acts as the PPD, determining whether the PPD is in the initialization stage according to the initialization process timer;

if the PD acts as the SPD, determining whether the initialization process is completed by the PPD according to the initialization process timer.

6. The method according to claim 1, wherein for the PD acting as the PPD, the initialization process timer is used for timing for the initialization period;

for the PD acting as the SPD, the initialization process timer is used for timing so as to insure the success of an initialization process of the PPD.

7. A protection device used in a wireless microphone beacon system comprising a transmitter and a receiver having:

a beacon receiver for receiving beacon information from other PDs around a PD and sending the received beacon information to a channel monitoring decision maker within a time period set in a channel monitor timer;

the channel monitoring decision maker for determining whether there exists any PPD so as to determine whether the PD is a primary beacon transmission device PPD or a secondary beacon transmission device SPD;

an initialization process decision maker for receiving the determination result from the channel monitoring decision maker and determining an operation status of the within a time period set in the initialization processing timer; and

the initialization process decision maker for outputting the determination result to the transmitter to determine whether the transmitter has transmitted any data or request information.

8. The protection device according to claim 7, wherein the PD includes the PPD and the SPD.

9. The protection device according to claim 7, wherein the protection device is configured inside a wireless microphone device.

10. The protection device according to claim 7, wherein the protection device is separated from a wireless microphone device.
