1. A method, in a printing system, for rendering a print job, said method comprising:
- a) receiving, associated with a print job, a graphic list comprising a first graphic-list element and an immediately subsequent graphic-list element;
b) associating said first graphic-list element with a first partition;
c) comparing a first graphical-object type associated with said first graphic-list element with a second graphical-object type associated with said immediately subsequent graphic-list element;
d) when said first graphical-object type and said second graphical-object type are the same, associating said immediately subsequent graphic-list element with said first partition; and
e) when said first graphical-object type and said second graphical-object type are not the same, creating a second partition and associating said immediately subsequent graphic-list element with said second partition.

Abstract
Aspects of the present invention are related to systems and methods for rendering graphical objects in a printing system. According to one aspect of the present invention a graphic list may be partitioned, and the graphic-list partitions may be rendered “out-of-order” or concurrently.

a) receiving, associated with a print job, a graphic list comprising a first plurality of graphic-list elements, wherein each graphic-list element in said first plurality of graphic-list elements comprises an associated graphical-object type; and b) associating a second plurality of graphic-list elements in said first plurality of graphic-list elements with a first partition, wherein; i) each of said graphic-list elements in said second plurality of graphic-list elements is adjacent, in said first plurality of graphic-list elements, to another of said graphic-list elements in said second plurality of graphic-list elements; and ii) the associated graphical-object type of each graphic-list element in said second plurality of graphic-list elements is a first graphical-object type. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. A printing system comprising:

a) a graphic-list receiver for receiving, associated with a print job, a graphic list comprising a first graphic-list element and an immediately subsequent graphic-list element; b) a first graphic-list element associator for associating said first graphic-list element with a first partition; c) a graphical-object-type comparator for comparing a first graphical-object type associated with said first graphic-list element with a second graphical-object type associated with said immediately subsequent graphic-list element; and d) a second graphic-list element associator for; i) when said first graphical-object type and said second graphical-object type are the same, associating said immediately subsequent graphic-list element with said first partition; and e) when said first graphical-object type and said second graphical-object type are not the same associating said immediately subsequent graphic-list element with a second partition.
