Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition for coating keratin fibres, more particularly the eyelashes, characterized in that it is present in the form of a wax-in-water emulsion comprising a combination of at least one glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof and at least one alkylpolyglycoside.

Claims

1. Cosmetic composition for coating keratin fibres, wherein it is in the form of a wax-in-water emulsion and it comprises the combination of at least one glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof and at least one alkylpolyglycoside, said wax or waxes being distinct from fatty alcohols comprising from 10 to 30 carbon atoms.

2. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the glutamic acid derivative or salt thereof is selected from acyl glutamic acids, the salts of these acids and mixtures thereof.

Composition according to claim 1, wherein the glutamic acid derivative or salt thereof is selected from lauroyl glutamic acid, myristoyl glutamic acid, palmitoyl glutamic acid, stearoyl glutamic acid, behenoyl glutamic acid, olivoyl glutamic acid, cocoyl glutamic acid and the salts with alkali metals, the salts with alkaline earth metals or the ammonium salts of said acids, and mixtures thereof.

4. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said glutamic acid derivative is the monosodium salt of n-stearoyl-L-glutamic acid.

5. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof is present in an amount of from 0.1% to 2% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

6. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof is present in the aqueous phase of the emulsion.

7. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said alkylpolyglycoside is a compound of formula:

R(O)(G)_x

in which the radical R is a linear or branched C₁₂-C₂₂ alkyl radical, x is from 1 to 5, and G is a saccharide residue.

8. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said alkylpolyglycoside is present in an amount of from 0.2% to 2% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

9. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said alkylpolyglycoside is employed as a mixture with at least one fatty alcohol comprising from 10 to 30 carbon atoms.

10. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the alkylpolyglycoside is cetylstearylglucoside.

11. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said alkylpolyglycoside and said glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof are employed in an alkylpolyglycoside/glutamic acid derivative weight ratio of greater than or equal to 0.2.

12. Composition according to claim 1, wherein it comprises at least 15% by weight of waxes, relative to the total weight of the composition.

13. Composition according to claim 1, wherein it comprises less than 1% by weight of riethanolamine or a derivative thereof.

Cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein it comprises at least one additive selected from pasty compounds, film-forming polymers, gellants, oils, colorants, fillers, fibres, antioxidants, preservatives, perfumes, bactericidal or antiperspirant actives, neutralizing agents, emollients, thickeners, coalescents, plasticizers, moisturizers, vitamins and screening agents, and mixtures thereof.

15. Composition according to claim 1, wherein it comprises at least one pigment which is coated.

Cosmetic method for makeup and/or non-therapeutic care of keratin fibres, comprising the application to said keratin fibres of a composition in the form of a wax-in-water emulsion, said composition comprising the combination of at least one glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof and at least one alkylpolyglycoside, said wax or waxes being distinct from fatty alcohols comprising from 10 to 30 carbon atoms.

Method for obtaining a charging makeup on keratin fibres, more particularly the eyelashes, comprising the use of a composition in the form of a wax-in-water emulsion, said composition comprising the combination of at least one glutamic acid derivative and/or salt thereof and at least one alkylpolyglycoside, said wax or waxes being distinct from fatty alcohols comprising from 10 to 30 carbon atoms.
