identify an activation cycle as a function of a plurality of activation times of the device stored in the memory device, an activation cycle including a higher power consumption mode;
determine an activation boundary for the activation cycle utilizing said plurality of activation times; and
place the device in a lower power consumption mode than the higher power consumption mode when the activation cycle is complete.

The disclosure provides a system and method for controlling operation of a device. The device comprises: a display; a memory device; an activation sensor; and a microprocessor. The microprocessor is programmed to: identify an activation cycle as a function of a plurality of activation times of the device stored in the memory device, an activation cycle including a higher power consumption mode; determine an activation boundary for the activation cycle utilizing said plurality of activation times; and place the device in a lower power consumption mode than the higher power consumption mode when the activation cycle is complete.
