1. A display device comprising a display screen comprising a bonding surface and a mechanical structure, wherein the display device also comprises:
- a first sheet of glass situated between the observer and the screen,a second sheet of glass, both sheets being flat and parallel with one another, the rear face of each sheet defined as being the side of the light source of the device,and inserts placed between the first and the second sheet of glass;
the assembly of the first sheet of glass, the second sheet of glass and the inserts forming a protective casing;
the thickness of the casing obtained being greater than the thickness of the screen;
the screen being bonded on the whole of its surface to only one of the two sheets over the central portion of the face inside the casing.

Abstract
The display device comprises a display screen comprising a bonding surface and a mechanical structure. The display device also comprises a glass protective casing consisting of two sheets of glass and inserts. This protective casing is bonded to the structure beneath the second sheet of glass. The screen is bonded to the inside of the protective casing on only one of the two sheets.
The invention proposes a compact protective device for a flat screen which is applied essentially to liquid crystal matrix screens comprising light-emitting diode light. The preferred field of application is that of screens used for aviation.
