Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatic adjustment of a treatment of a target person to be treated based on calculated recovery prediction data for predicting a change of a sensory function of said target person in response to said treatment.

Claims

1. An apparatus (1) for automatic adjustment of a treatment of a target person (4) to be treated based on calculated recovery prediction data for predicting a change of a sensory function of said target person (4) in response to said treatment.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said recovery prediction data is calculated by data mining on the basis of sensory data of said target person (4) on the basis of sensory data of a reference group of persons treated by said treatment.

3. The apparatus according to claim 2,

wherein said apparatus (1) comprises a processing unit (9) for executing a data mining algorithm to calculate the recovery prediction data.

4. The apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said data mining algorithm is a classification algorithm, comprising

a linear regression algorithm,

a support vector-machine algorithm,

a neural network algorithm,

a K-nearest-neighbor algorithm or

a decision tree algorithm.

5. The apparatus according to claim 3,

wherein said data mining algorithm is a self-organizing map (SOM)-algorithm.

6. The apparatus according to claim 2,

wherein said apparatus (1) comprises a storage device (10) for storing the sensory data of the target person (4) and the sensory data of said reference group.

7. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said apparatus (1) comprises at least one detection device (5) for measuring sensory data of said target person (4).

8. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said sensory data comprises a recorded data detected for a sensory organ (3) or associated brain regions of said sensory organ (3).

9. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said sensory organ (3) comprises a visual organ, an acoustical organ or a touch organ of said target person (4).

10. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said treatment is a stimulation treatment of said sensory organ (3).

11. The apparatus according to claim 9,

wherein said stimulation treatment of said sensory organ (3) comprises a functional stimulation and/or an electrical stimulation of said sensory organ (3).

12. The apparatus according to claim 10,

wherein said electrical stimulation of said sensory organ (3) comprises an invasive or a non-invasive electrical stimulation of said sensory organ (3).

13. The apparatus according to claim 9,

wherein at least one parameter of said stimulation treatment is adjusted depending on said recovery prediction data calculated by said processing unit (9).

14. The apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein said sensory data comprises global feature data and local feature data.

15. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein the global feature data comprises a size of a residual area and a size of a defect area of a sensory organ (3) of said target person (4).

16. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein the global feature data comprises a reaction time of said target person (4) to a stimulation signal applied to a sensory organ (3) of said target person (4).

17. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein the global feature data comprises conformity data of a visual field chart of said target person (4) indicating a degree of similarity of the visual field to heminopia and quadrantanopia.

18. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein the global feature data comprises order diffuseness data indicating an extent to which a visual field border of said target person (4) in diffused.

19. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein said local feature data comprises neighbourhood data of a spot in a visual field chart of said target person (4).

20. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein said local feature data comprises distance data indicating a distance of a spot in a visual field chart of said target person (4) to a visual field defect border.

21. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein said local feature data comprises a visual field position of a spot in a visual field chart of said target person (4).

22. The apparatus according to claim 13,

wherein said local feature data comprises a residual function value of a spot in a visual field chart of said target person (4).

24. The method according to claim 22,

wherein said recovery prediction data is calculated by data mining on the basis of sensory data of said target person (4) and on the basis of sensory data of a reference group treated by said treatment.

25. A computer program comprising instructions for executing the method according to claims 22, 23.

26. A data carrier for storing a computer program according to claim 24.

23. A method for automatic adjustment of a treatment for a target person (4) to be treated based on recovery prediction data predicting a change of a sensory function of said target person (4) in response to said treatment.
