Abstract

The present invention is aimed at providing a remote control device for an air conditioner which makes it possible for a user to fully use added functions of the air conditioner without being unable to make a quick decision about or giving up added value functions, and to realize energy savings in the air conditioner without difficulty, by not adopting input with buttons, but by adopting inputs describing scenes in a daily life of the user by words. The remote control device for the air conditioner according to the present invention includes a chassis; an interface display unit, which is placed in a front surface of the chassis, and is formed by a full dot liquid crystal display; and a scene button, which is placed in a front surface of the chassis, to select and decide a scene selection that is displayed on the interface display unit.

Claims

1. A remote control device for an air conditioner comprising:

a chassis;

an interface display unit, which is placed in a front surface of the chassis, and is formed by a full dot liquid crystal display; and

a scene button, which is placed in a front surface of the chassis, to select and decide a scene selection that is displayed on the interface display unit.

2. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 1, wherein the scene button comprises a scene selection button, an up and down button, and a decision button.

3. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 1, wherein the scene selection is to describe a scene in a daily life of a user by a word which is easily understandable.

4. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 1, wherein an animation to describe a content of an entry in the scene selection is displayed on the interface display unit.

5. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 4, wherein the animation to describe the content of the entry in the scene selection changes every moment.

6. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 4, wherein each animation to describe the content of the entry in the scene selection is displayed on the interface display unit together with the scene selection.

7. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 4, wherein each animation to describe the content of the entry in the scene selection is displayed on an entire screen of the interface display unit after the scene selection is displayed on the interface display unit for a prescribed time period.

8. The remote control device for the air conditioner as defined in claim 1, wherein a plurality of scene selections which are displayed on the interface display unit can be selected.
