Abstract

A mobile terminal and data extracting method therein are disclosed, by which specific data meeting a specific condition can be selected and extracted conveniently and quickly in the course of displaying a data list constructed with a plurality of data. The present invention includes receiving an input of a touch action for selecting specific data and a classification condition corresponding to the specific data using a displayed data list upon receiving the input of the touch action, selecting at least one data including the specific data as the data including the classification condition from a plurality of data, receiving an input of an extraction command signal for extracting the selected at least one data, and extracting the selected at least one data upon receiving the input of the extraction command signal.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a touchscreen configured to display a data list including a plurality of data and to receive a first input for selecting specific data of the plurality of data and a second input for selecting a classification condition corresponding to the specific data; and

a controller configured to select at least one data that satisfies the classification condition, including the specific data, from the plurality of data in response to the second input and to extract the selected at least one data from the data list in response to the mobile terminal receiving a third input.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the data list is a message list comprising a plurality of messages;

the touchscreen is further configured to display the message list, to receive the first input to select a specific message of the plurality of messages and to receive the second input for selecting at least one message classification condition corresponding to the specific message; and

the controller is further configured to select at least one message that satisfies the selected at least one message classification condition, including the specific message, from the plurality of messages,

wherein the at least one message classification condition comprises originator information, a message received date or a keyword included in the specific message.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the data list is an audio file list comprising a plurality of audio files;

the touchscreen is further configured to display the audio file list and to receive the first input to select a specific audio file of the plurality of audio files and to receive the second input for selecting at least one audio file classification condition corresponding to the specific audio file; and

the controller is further configured to select at least one audio file that satisfies the selected at least one audio file classification condition, including the specific audio file, from the plurality of audio files,

wherein the at least one audio file classification condition comprises an audio file name, artist information or a keyword corresponding to the specific audio file.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the data list is a picture file list comprising a plurality of picture files;

the touchscreen is further configured to display the picture file list as thumbnails, to receive the first input to select a specific picture file of the plurality of picture files and to receive the second input for selecting at least one picture file classification condition corresponding to the specific picture file; and

the controller is further configured to select at least one picture file that satisfies the selected at least one picture file classification condition, including the specific picture file, from the plurality of picture files,

wherein the at least one picture file classification condition comprises a specific object related to the picture file or a date of creation of the picture file.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the data list is a contact file list comprising a plurality of contact files;

the touchscreen is further configured to display the contact file list, to receive the first input to select a specific contact file of the plurality of contact files and to receive the second input for selecting at least one contact file classification condition corresponding to the specific contact file; and

the controller is further configured to select at least one contact file that satisfies the selected at least one contact file classification condition, including the specific contact file, from the plurality of contact files,

wherein the at least one contact file classification condition comprises a contact name corresponding to the specific contact file, a group name or at least a portion of a phone number.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the data list is a schedule list comprising a plurality of schedule items;

the touchscreen is further configured to display the schedule list, to receive the first input to select a specific schedule item of the plurality of schedule items and to receive the second input for selecting at least one schedule item classification condition corresponding to the specific schedule item; and

the controller is further configured to select at least one schedule item that satisfies the selected at least one schedule item classification condition, including the specific schedule item, from the plurality of schedule items,

wherein the at least one schedule item classification condition comprises a schedule type, a schedule name, a participant included in the specific schedule item, a keyword included in the specific schedule item or a schedule date.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the touchscreen is further configured to receive the second input on a display region of the touchscreen at which the classification condition corresponding to the specific data is located.

8. The mobile terminal of claim 1, further comprising a user input unit configured to receive the second input including a setting signal for the classification condition to be displayed as information on data in the data list,

wherein the controller is further configured to set the classification condition corresponding to the setting signal and to control the touchscreen to display the set classification condition for each of the selected at least one data including the specific data.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 1, further comprising a motion detection sensor configured to detect a tapping on the mobile terminal in a tapping direction and an inclination of the mobile terminal in an inclination direction;

wherein the third input is received by the mobile terminal via at least a detection on the touchscreen of a touch and drag action upon the specific data, detection of a tapping on the mobile terminal in the tapping direction via the motion detection sensor or detection of an inclination of the mobile terminal in the inclination direction via the motion detection sensor.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the touchscreen is further configured to display one or more data control icons on a prescribed region of the touchscreen and to receive a touch and drag input to a specific one of the one or more data control icons for the selected at least one data, and

the controller is further configured to perform a control action corresponding to the data control icon on the selected at least one data in response to the touch and drag input.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to create a data storage region for storage of the extracted selected at least one data.

The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the touchscreen is further configured to display the data list including the plurality of the data, the data list including one or more of the plurality of data excluding the extracted selected at least one data or the data list including the extracted selected at least one data upon completion of extracting the selected at least one data.

13. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the touchscreen is further configured to receive a delete command signal to delete at least one of the plurality of data that is not included in the selected at least one data; and

the controller is further configured to delete the at least one of the plurality of data that is not included in the selected at least one data in response to the delete command signal.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein:

the touchscreen is further configured to receive a keyword extension command while displaying the data list and to receive the second input for selecting a keyword as the classification condition; and

the controller is further configured to control the touchscreen to display the selected keyword included in each of the plurality of data in the data list that includes the keyword in response to the keyword extension command.

15. A mobile terminal comprising:

a touchscreen configured to display a data list including a plurality of data and to receive a first input for selecting specific data of the plurality of data and a second input for selecting a classification condition corresponding to the specific data; and

a controller configured to select at least one data that satisfies the classification condition, including the specific data, from the plurality of data in response to the second input and to extract the selected at least one data from the data list in response to detection on the touchscreen of a touch and drag action upon the specific data.

16. A method of extracting data in a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying a data list including a plurality of data on a touchscreen;

receiving a first input via the touchscreen for selecting specific data of the plurality of data;

receiving a second input via the touchscreen for selecting a classification condition corresponding to the specific data;

selecting, via a controller, at least one data that satisfies the classification condition, including the specific data, from the plurality of data in response to the second input;

receiving a third input via the mobile terminal for extracting the selected at least one data from the data list; and

extracting the selected at least one data.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein receiving the second input further comprises receiving the second input on a display region of the touchscreen at which the classification condition for the specific data is located.

The method of claim 16, wherein the third input is received by the mobile terminal via at least a detection on the touchscreen of a touch and drag action upon the specific data, detection of tapping on the mobile terminal in a tapping direction via a motion detection sensor or detection of an inclination of the mobile terminal in an inclination direction via the motion detection sensor.

19. The method of claim 16, further comprising creating a data storage region via the controller for storage of the extracted selected at least one data.

20. The method of claim 16, further comprising displaying the data list including the plurality of the data on the touchscreen, the data list including one or more of the plurality of data excluding the extracted selected at least one data or the data list including the extracted selected at least one data upon completion of extracting the selected at least one data.
