1. A large, thin, portable and mobile display communicatively connectable to a portable and mobile computing device, comprising:
- a housing, having a thickness not greater than 7 mm;
a receiver to receive a signal generated by the computing device;
a processor authorized to process the signal generated by the computing device;
a screen in the housing enabled to display a video image in real-time in response to the signal generated by the portable computing device received by the display, the screen having a size not smaller in area than 300 cm2; and
the display having a weight that does not exceed 12 ounces.

Abstract
Methods and apparatus to create and display screen stereoscopic and panoramic images are disclosed. Methods and apparatus are provided to generate multiple images that are combined into a stereoscopic or a panoramic image. An image may be a static image. It may also be a video image. A controller provides correct camera settings for different conditions. An image processor creates a stereoscopic or a panoramic image from the correct settings provided by the controller. A plurality of lens/sensor units is placed on a carrier. Lens/sensor units are rotationally aligned. A controller rotationally aligns images of lens/sensor units that are rotationally misaligned. The camera is enabled to communicate via a wired or via a wireless connection, with a separate, mobile, ultrathin, ultralight, display with a large display screen not smaller than 25 by 20 cm in a first embodiment of the present invention and not smaller than 20 by 15 cm in a second embodiment of the present invention to provide color images including video images in real-time. A compact controllable platform to hold and rotate a device with a lens/sensor unit is also provided.

a mobile computing device containing a processor, data memory, at least one lens/sensor unit, and a communication interface; a mobile computer display separate from the mobile computing device with a screen size that is not smaller in area than 300 cm2 enabled to display a video image in color in real-time generated by the at least one lens/sensor unit, the computer display having a body with a thickness not exceeding 7 mm and a communication interface; and

20. A mobile platform, comprising:

a fixture enabled to be removably attached to an object or a structure; a housing containing circuitry to process a signal associated with a signal generated by a positional sensor attached to a remote computer display with a screen; at least one remotely controlled actuator; an arm that is enabled to be rotatably moved by the at least one remotely controlled actuator based on the signal associated with the signal generated by the positional sensor attached to the remote computer display; and a device holder attached to the arm enabled to hold a computing device that includes at least one lens/sensor unit that is enabled to provide a video image to be displayed in real-time on the screen of the remote display.
