Abstract

A data communication method, a communication system, and related devices are configured to establish a transaction identifier (TI) in a user equipment (UE). The data communication method includes the following steps. A mobility management entity (MME) receives a request message and obtains ability information of the UE. If the UE has an ability to access a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network/GSM/EDGE Radio Access Network (UTRAN/GERAN), the MME generates the TI. A communication system and related devices are also provided. Thus, the TI is effectively established in the UE, so as to ensure normal processing of the UE.

Claims

1. A method for data communication, the method comprising:

receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), a request message from a user equipment (UE);

obtaining, by the MME, an ability information of the UE according to the request message;

determining, by the MME, that the UE has an ability to access one of a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) and a GSM/EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) according to the ability information of the UE; and

generating, by the MME, a transaction identifier (TI), if the UE has the ability to access one of the UTRAN and the GERAN.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

obtaining, by the MME, a bearer identifier according to the request message.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the generating, by the MME, a TI comprises:

generating, by the MME, the TI according to the bearer identifier and a preset generation rule.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the generating, by the MME, a TI comprising:

generating, by the MME, each TI for each bearer identifier.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein after generating, by the MME, a TI, the method further comprises:

sending, by the MME, the TI to the UE, so that the UE uses the TI to access one of the UTRAN and the GERAN network.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein after generating, by the MME, each TI for each bearer identifier, the method further comprises:

transferring, by the MME, a context corresponding to the bearer identifier to the SGSN, when the UE accesses one of the UTRAN and the GERAN.

7. The method of claim 2, wherein after the obtaining, by the MME, a bearer identifier according to the request message, the method further comprises:

sending, by the MME, the bearer identifier to the UE, so as to indicate the UE to generate the TI according to the bearer identifier and a preset generation rule, wherein the preset generation rule is sent to the UE with the bearer identifier, or the preset generation rule is stored on the UE.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the request message comprises one of the following:

an Attach Request message initiated by the UE, or

a Packet Data Network Connectivity Request message initiated by the UE,

a Dedicated Bearer Request message initiated by a Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW), and

a Resource Allocating Request message initiated by the UE.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining, by the MME, the ability information of the UE according to the request message comprises:

Receiving, by the MME, an Attach Request message including the ability information of the UE sent by the UE during a UE attaching procedure; and

obtaining the ability information of the UE from the Attach Request message.

10. A mobility management entity (MME), characterized by comprising:

a receiving unit, configured to receive a request message from a user equipment (UE);

an obtaining unit, configured to obtain an ability information of the UE according to the request message;

a determining unit, configured to determine that the UE has an ability to access one of a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) and a GSM/EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) according to the ability information of the UE; and

a generating unit, configured to generate a transaction identifier (TI) according to the determining result of the determining unit.

11. The MME of claim 10, wherein

the generating unit is configured to generating each TI for each bearer identifier.

12. The MME of claim 10, wherein the MME further comprises:

a sending unit, configured to send the TI to the UE, so that the UE uses the TI to access one of the UTRAN and the GERAN network.

13. The MME of claim 11, wherein the MME further comprises:

a transferring unit, configured to transfer a context corresponding to the bearer identifier to the SGSN, when the UE accesses one of the UTRAN and the GERAN.

14. A

a computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for data communication, the set of instructions to direct a processor to perform acts of:

receiving a request message;

obtaining an ability information of a user equipment (UE) according to the request message;

determining that the UE has an ability to access one of a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) and a GSM/EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) according to the ability information of the UE; and

generating a transaction identifier (TI), according to the code for determining that the UE has an ability to access one of the UTRAN and the GERAN.

15. The computer-readable medium of claim 14, further comprising instructions for:

sending the TI to the UE, so that the UE uses the TI to access the UTRAN/GERAN network.

16. The computer-readable medium of claim 14, wherein the instructions for generating a transaction identifier (TI), if the UE has the ability to access one of the UTRAN and the GERAN, comprises:

generating each TI for each bearer identifier.

17. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising instructions for:

transferring a context corresponding to the bearer identifier to the SGSN, when the UE accesses one of the UTRAN and the GERAN.
